I really don't understand how other reviews failed to recognize how truly wonderful this story is. I have a great affection for a story that manages to be scary, yet the scariness is accompanied by a blessing.

A college student receives the distressing news that his mother has suffered a heart attack. He immediately leaves college to visit her, having to resort to hitchhiking to get there. Along the way, the journey gradually transforms into a nightmare. However, it is a nightmare that also brings with it a blessing.

I absolutely adored this story. I consider it to be on par with King's "The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption". The story offers a profound revelation about life. It makes us think about the things we regret, the things we forget, the things we take for granted, and most importantly, that as long as there is life, it is never too late.

I listened to the audio book, which lasted 1 hour, 35 minutes, and 33 seconds. It was read so beautifully that it simply kept me on the edge of my seat. This is definitely a keeper for me.

I highly recommend this story to any readers, regardless of their genre preference. It has the power to touch your heart and make you reflect on the meaning of life.

Stephen King is widely regarded as the king of horror, as it is one of the genres he has most cultivated. However, if there is one thing King has shown us throughout his nearly 50-year career, it is that he can cover any genre without much complication and manage to create wonderful stories.

Alan Parker is a university student who receives the news that his mother has suffered a cerebrovascular accident. Since his car is broken down, he decides to hitchhike to the hospital as soon as possible. What Alan doesn't know is that he is about to embark on a journey that is the darkest and most tenebrous, which will put him between a rock and a hard place and leave him marked for the rest of his life.

In "Riding the bullet", although we have a good dose of horror and suspense, King goes one step further by offering us a story that invites reflection and provides an analysis of the fine line that separates life from death, as well as the decisions we make, which are ostensibly harmless but can end up being a penance for the rest of our lives, even if they lack a logical meaning but carry a great emotional weight.

In this short story, King once again uses his magic to create a story in which the characters, and especially the dialogues, are the cornerstone. The conversations that Alan has with the different people he meets are hilarious and full of meaning, inviting the reader to reflect and doubt the truth of what they are reading.

We are faced with a strange story, where metaphor plays an important role, as does the free interpretation that each person can make of the events and the end of the story. It is an addictive book that is read in one go and that stays in your head for days as you try to fit all the pieces together.

It was an okay horror novela.

It belonged to the more quiet kind of horror, not overly scary or filled with gore. Instead, it had a way of creeping into your mind and leaving an unsettling feeling.

While it may not have been the best horror novela I've read by Stephen King, I'm still glad that I took the time to read it.

Each of King's works has its own unique charm, and this one was no exception.

It had its moments of tension and suspense that kept me engaged throughout.

Even though it didn't have the same level of impact as some of his other more well-known works, it still managed to create an atmosphere of unease that is characteristic of King's writing.

In conclusion, while it may not be a classic, it was still an enjoyable read for fans of the horror genre.

Well, to be honest, I don't really know what to say. The story is dynamic, easy and quick to read, and quite entertaining. However, considering how it was unfolding, I had expected more. The "terror" part of the story is indeed very much a typical roadside legend that we all know. And in the end, it wasn't what I had anticipated. But overall, I didn't think it was bad. It's okay, and that's about it.

I think the author did a decent job of creating an engaging atmosphere and keeping the reader interested. The pacing was good, and the descriptions were vivid enough to paint a clear picture in my mind. However, perhaps the plot could have been more developed or had some unexpected twists to make it truly stand out.

Despite its shortcomings, I still enjoyed reading this story. It was a fun and light read that passed the time pleasantly. Maybe it's not a masterpiece, but it definitely has its own charm. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a quick and easy read with a touch of mystery and horror.

I dived into the story with enthusiasm, eager to see where it would take me.

The experience of reading this book out of order turned out to be quite unique and enjoyable.

It opened my eyes to new perspectives and ideas that I might not have encountered otherwise.

I'm glad I seized the opportunity and didn't let the chance to read this book pass me by.

There is really nothing special about this. It's just an ordinary situation or thing. It doesn't stand out in any remarkable way. It lacks the excitement or uniqueness that would make it worthy of particular attention. Maybe it's a daily routine, a common occurrence, or something that has become so familiar that it seems unremarkable. However, sometimes the ordinary can hold hidden value or significance that we may not initially notice. It could be a simple gesture of kindness, a moment of quiet reflection, or a small accomplishment that goes unnoticed in the grand scheme of things. So, while it may seem like there is nothing special at first glance, it's important to look a little deeper and appreciate the beauty and value that can be found in the ordinary.

A story that can be read all at once and cannot be interrupted.
Just like with almost all of King's books, it wraps you up and doesn't let you go until you're done.

Although it was edited as an independent book, the truth is that this is just a short story, perhaps too short for some. You can finish it in a couple of hours and rather than a horror story, it is for reflection. I have always thought that SK not only writes horror stories, but also writes about life and its missteps. And this little book talks about identity, family, purpose, and all those beautiful things that motivate us so much, but in a twisted way that hits you, kicks you, and then pats you on the head, all in less than 100 pages.

It doesn't enter my favorites of the master, but I quite liked it. It makes you think about the deeper aspects of life and how we often take things for granted. The story is told in a unique way that keeps you engaged from start to finish. Despite its short length, it manages to convey a powerful message that lingers in your mind long after you've finished reading. Overall, it's a worthwhile read that I would recommend to anyone looking for a thought-provoking story.
