Written by King, filmed by Romero, with illustrations by Wrightson - beautifully published by East-West, translated by Ivan Atanasov. What more can be said and rated, except with a maximum!

This combination of talents truly brings the work to life. King's writing is known for its vivid descriptions and engaging storylines, which Romero expertly translates to the screen. Wrightson's illustrations add another layer of depth and detail, enhancing the overall experience.

The translation by Ivan Atanasov ensures that the work is accessible to a wider audience, allowing them to fully appreciate the beauty and complexity of the original.

It's no wonder that this work has received such high praise and acclaim. It's a must-see for fans of the genre and a great introduction for those new to it.

When I was a kid, I did something naughty. I snuck into the adult section of the library. That's where I found this one particular thing.

The image I saw was truly disturbing. There was a furry meteor, and then there was a person with their head twisted off and served on a silver platter.

This image has been etched in my mind forever. It was a moment that I will never forget.

I think it was a bit of a wake-up call for me. It made me realize that there are things in the world that are not suitable for my young eyes.

Looking back, I can see that I got what I deserved for being so curious and disobedient. But at the same time, it also taught me a valuable lesson about respecting boundaries and being more careful about what I expose myself to.

Even though the image still haunts me, I am grateful for the experience. It has made me a more cautious and discerning person.

SUPER FAST REVIEW:

This work offers a cheesy and creepy kind of fun. It's important to note that it's not King's best piece. In fact, it's not intended to be a literary masterpiece. Instead, it's a strange collection of 5 short stories that serve as King's tribute to old-school horror anthology comics.

Just like many of those older horror anthologies, the stories within may have a cheesy quality, and there are some miscellaneous issues. For instance, I found some parts predictable, and I didn't really care about the characters. However, despite these flaws, it's ultimately a fun read. We are treated to 5 intense horror adventures with good art. This comic truly captures the same feel as the comics it pays tribute to.

Ordinarily, I would be undecided between a 3 or 4-star rating. But since it's clear that this is mainly a tribute to some rather cheesy horror anthologies of the past and it accomplishes that goal extremely well, I have no hesitation in awarding it a full 4 stars.

In the spirit of classic pulp horror comics, Stephen King released Creepshow in print in the early 1980s. With the assistance of zombie master George Romero, it also hit the screen. Although it has a somewhat dated, early 80s feel, it's still worthy for a few creepy scares.

The five stories in this collection are like quick hits. There isn't much time spent on fleshing things out. Each story gets in and gets out. If there's backstory, it's covered in a few short panels. This makes it a quick read, whether you're reading just one story or all of them at once.

The artwork is quite good at reflecting traditional pulp comic art. You'd see something similar in old issues of Tales From the Crypt. It's not too fancy, but the gore and horrors are perfectly balanced with a cartoonish feel. You'll be both terrified and amused simultaneously.

Graphic novel fans who are also King fans, I assume you've read this. And if you haven't, there's no reason not to hunt it down. It might be a bit harder to find than some of his other work, but I believe it's worth the effort.

Believe it or not, the copy I read is a first edition that my Dad bought back in 1981 when it first came out. It has a long history!

I truly relished this book. It was rather similar to a pulp comic book. It offered a fun and scary reading experience!

Stephen King is one of my favorite authors, and I have a great affection for his stories, regardless of the format. Whether it's a novel, a short story collection, or even a graphic novel, his works always manage to capture my attention and keep me on the edge of my seat.

This particular book was no exception. The vivid descriptions and engaging plot made it difficult to put down. I found myself completely immersed in the world that King had created, and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

If you're a fan of horror and mystery, I highly recommend giving this book a try. You won't be disappointed!

A classic comic album from the beginning of the 80's,

when King was starting to develop in a way only he knew, and Romero already had over half a dozen tapes on his back, drawn by the third significant name for the chorus - Bernie Wrightson;

permeated with (retro) vision from everywhere, it evoked associations in me (you should see, but it was really like that) not so much with the stories from "The Blade", but with those in "The Strange World".

Admiration for "East-West", which, like "Artline Studio", is not afraid to take non-standard publishing steps.

I'm happy! Very happy! And not least: Deadface, thank you, man!!!

This comic album holds a special place in my heart. It combines the unique styles and talents of different creators, resulting in a work that is both nostalgic and innovative.

The art by Bernie Wrightson is truly remarkable, adding a distinct visual flavor to the stories.

The bold publishing decisions of "East-West" and "Artline Studio" have also contributed to the album's appeal, making it stand out from the crowd.

Overall, this is a comic album that I will cherish for a long time to come.

3 out of 5!

This is a piece that is truly fun to read during Halloween time, mainly for nostalgia reasons. However, I have to admit that I just love the movie too much and find myself preferring it over the graphic novel.

My main concern with the graphic novel was the Creep's insertion of too much humor throughout. At times, it would completely take me out of the story and disrupt the overall atmosphere. It felt as if the intended tone was being diluted by the excessive humor.

Nevertheless, if you are a fan of graphic novels, it is still worth checking out. There might be certain aspects or details that you could appreciate. And for a more in-depth look, don't forget to check out the full video review at https://youtu.be/q_F6jvTg2ZE.

This is the comic version of one of King's weaker big-screen offerings. The illustrations are executed in the old comics style, which is both charming and quite intricate. Each panel is filled with details that draw the reader in and add to the overall atmosphere of the story. However, the stories themselves are a bit of a mixed bag. They are clearly from an earlier time, and some of the attitudes and themes may not sit well with modern audiences. In particular, a couple of the stories show a rather cringe-worthy streak of misogyny that is both uncomfortable and outdated. While the art is nice to look at, the content of the stories may leave some readers feeling disappointed or even offended. Overall, this comic is an interesting curiosity, but it's not without its flaws.

What a fun ride this was!

It truly took me back to the old EC Comics from a bygone era!

Yes, I really enjoyed the movie, but reading a comic for the first time in more years than I care to count was just plain fun!

The vivid illustrations and engaging stories in the comic brought back a flood of memories from my childhood. It was like rediscovering a hidden treasure chest of entertainment. The characters came to life on the pages, and I found myself completely immersed in their adventures. It was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. I can't wait to explore more comics and relive those glorious days of my youth.

This was a bit disappointing for me, to be completely honest.

This graphic novel is based on the cult classic horror anthology of the same name. I have a deep affection for the film, but unfortunately, the graphic novel adaptation failed to truly capture the essence of how campy and enjoyable the film was.

The illustrations in the graphic novel are very well executed and remain extremely loyal to the movie. However, I do wish that the pages were glossy instead of being made of paper, but that's just my minor nitpicking.

The main problem I had was that it didn't bring to life my favorite stories such as "Father's Day" or "Something to Tide You Over" in an amazing way. It did an okay job with "The Crate" and "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill".

I believe it's still worth a read if you, like me, are a big fan of the movie. But I probably wouldn't have paid $20 for it, which is what I actually paid to get a new copy. I would rather pick it up second hand, from the library, or even from Bookoutlet.

This work is a wonderful piece in terms of drawing. The illustrations are truly remarkable, showing great skill and attention to detail.

However, when it comes to the stories, they perhaps lack a bit of originality. They might seem a bit familiar or not as fresh as one would hope.

But the presence of Wrightson makes up for everything. His contribution to the work is significant and adds a certain charm and value.

Overall, despite the minor drawback in the stories, the combination of the excellent drawing and Wrightson's presence makes this a work that is well worth欣赏. It has its own unique appeal and can capture the interest of the readers.

Whether you are a fan of art or just looking for an interesting read, this work has something to offer.

It shows the talent and creativity of the artist and the potential for great things in the future.
