interesting and willing to apply some of the concepts, I gave it four stars because it pushes maybe too much in fixing every every relationship and also it seems like every relationship is miraculously saved by the advise with disregard the effort needed to be put in.

*you don’t need to be a dude to read this edition*
I picked it up out of curiosity of how Chapman talked to males regarding the 5 Love languages. I wanted to understand how a man might approach his wife and if my mate would benefit from this book. The subject itself is gender neutral. The book has a slight lean towards the man but nothing that takes away from the message.
If your married I think this book would greatly benefit the marriage. Love is a choice you intend to choose errrrrday when you make the vows of marriage.

I would give the philosophy behind the book [series] a 5; the book itself a 4, landing it at a 4.5.

Putting a measurable reason behind discrepancies in how couples communicate affection is outstanding. Finally being able to know how to best show my wife that I love her is only going to strengthen our marriage.

I will say that the the author's phraseology is geared toward someone with no prior knowledge of psychology, which is good and bad. Since I know a little bit, it did make this book a little harder to read, but I would still recommend it to anyone. I imagine you can help more people speaking more simply than not, since even seasoned readers on this type of subject will be able to digest it while others wouldn't have a chance otherwise.

Definitely a great book!

The book focuses on treating your loved one (wife in this edition) as she would want to be treated. The author keeps the focus on the reader to do the right thing and to do it with kindness, love and respect.

This approach was refreshing and resonated with me on many levels. This edition was written for men but is broadly applicable in its themes. Recommended for all and especially for those who wish to align their heart’s desire with clarity and understanding.

Similar to the original version. Could serve as an alternative to the standard version or as an addition to it.

Skirta vyrams, bet puikiai tinka moterims. Tai antra mano skaityta Chapman knyga. Ši knyga tarsi papildymas pirmosios skaitytos knygos. Manau puiku sau nuolat priminti dalykus, ką galime vienas dėl kito. :)

I was recommended to listen this by my therapist; well not the “men” version, just the book but I was surprised that “for men” version was 3 times shorter and I value my time to get straight to the point, so choose to listen this one. Appreciate main idea and we managed to quickly see which languages are applicable for me and my partner, so going to practice now.

This book is 40 pages less than The 5 Love Languages. I read both (the latter I read 3x) and I have absolutely no idea why this is a separate book. Apart from being a money grab and padding the resume, this book is such a waste of time if you already read The 5 Love Languages. 2% of this book might contain new content the rest is the exact same. I relistened to The 5 Love Languages literally a day prior to hearing this so there’s no question about it.

Same book, new title.

The original is fantastic, but this being sold as a “new” edition when it offers next to nothing new renders it deserving of 1 star.

Funny enough, he mentioned in the end how a male reader said he wanted to give The 5 Love Languages to his buddies but that the cover looked girly and that “I can’t give that to a man”.

While I can understand the trepidation, if a grown adult is passing up on bettering their lives because a cover is too girly, then they have a long way to go in actually maturing as a person (especially when that book is a direct recommendation from a friend).

That’s so unbelievably childish. That’s like being thirsty and complaining that your plastic water bottle is pink….grow up.
