2.5⭐️ This one was probably my least favorite of the series so far. The story felt extremely heavy, as if it was carrying a great weight throughout. And at times, the super happy, perfect endings seemed just too unrealistic. It was hard to believe that everything could turn out so flawlessly. However, despite these drawbacks, I still have a deep love for the family that is portrayed in the book. Their relationships and the bond they share are truly heartwarming. The overall idea of the book, too, has its own charm. It explores themes that are relevant and relatable. Even though this particular installment didn't quite hit the mark for me as much as the others, it still managed to hold my attention and make me care about what was happening. I'm curious to see where the series will go from here.

I'm truly relishing this series and have become quite invested in the Baxter family.

However, I do find that I need to take intermittent breaks from these books.

The Baxter family endures an enormous amount, and at times, it's simply overwhelming to soak it all in.

I have a deep affection for the way they rely on Christ during every crisis.

Moreover, I adore the strong bonds that each member shares with the others.

The family dynamics presented are incredibly believable, making it easy for me to become fully immersed in their lives and experiences.

Despite the emotional intensity, I can't help but keep coming back to this series, eager to see what further challenges and triumphs the Baxter family will face.

Superknap hoe zo’n serie boeken blijft boeien.

Don't get me wrong. I truly loved this book, yet I found it to be emotionally draining.

It focuses mainly on Brooke and Peter, with a touch of Ashley. These three characters experience things that I earnestly pray will never occur to me or to my brothers and sisters who I am running with.

Moreover, "Rejoice" directly confronts those things for which I should have faith in God to do, but unfortunately, I don't.

There were certain parts where I would read a page or two and then stop to pray for the people I know or for myself. Then, I would read another page or two and pray again.

This pattern continued, as the book's powerful and poignant content deeply moved me and made me reflect on my own life and my relationship with God.

It served as a reminder of the importance of having faith and trusting in God's plan, even in the face of difficult and challenging circumstances.

Overall, although it was an emotionally taxing read, it was also a deeply rewarding and spiritually enriching one.

I had high expectations for this book.

To some extent, it managed to resolve certain unresolved issues regarding Brooke and David.

However, I still feel that there could have been more depth and development in their storylines.

Now, I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment to find out what fate has in store for Ashley and Landen.

It is interesting to note that throughout the story, the author implies that God plays a significant role in all of our lives.

This adds an element of mystery and spiritual depth to the narrative.

I hope that in the next book, the author will further explore this theme and show how God's influence shapes the lives of the characters.

Overall, while this book had its moments, I believe there is still room for improvement in the next one.

This particular piece took me a bit more time compared to its predecessors. However, it was still truly excellent.

To recall God's goodness and love during the most difficult of times and to deliberately choose to traverse the valley with the assistance of God is an extremely powerful concept.

The way it is written is very engaging and I most definitely enjoyed it.

It makes one stop and think about the significance of relying on God's grace and mercy in the face of adversity.

The author has done a great job of presenting this idea in a clear and concise manner.

Overall, it is a wonderful piece that leaves a lasting impression.

I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

When Hayley Baxter nearly drowns in a pool, Peter Baxter blames himself deeply. He feels an overwhelming sense of guilt because he wasn't watching her closely enough.

As a result, he makes a heart-wrenching decision to leave his family behind. He believes that they would be better off without him, thinking that his presence only brings pain and danger.

Meanwhile, we have the joyous wedding of Luke and Reagan. The wedding scenes are描绘得非常美丽, filled with love and happiness. The couple looks radiant as they exchange their vows and begin their new life together.

Another storyline that unfolds is that of Ashley and Landon. Ashley has HIV, and this makes her feel that Landon shouldn't be with her. She is afraid that her illness will be a burden on him and that she will only cause him pain. Reagan tries to convince her that they can be together despite her condition, but Ashley is initially reluctant to believe.

However, at the end of the book, Ashley finally accepts Landon's proposal. I felt a great sense of happiness and relief. It is wonderful to see that Ashley has overcome her fears and decided to be with the man she loves.

On to the next one!

Reasons to Rejoice

This is yet another outstanding book from an incredibly prolific author. It is also an addition to the Baxter family series. The characters within this story are like old friends that you likely already know and love. However, if you haven't had the pleasure of meeting them before, you are in for a real treat. As you embark on this reading journey, you will be immersed in the lives and adventures of the Baxter family. Their stories are filled with love, laughter, and perhaps a few tears along the way. The author's ability to bring these characters to life on the page is truly remarkable. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this wonderful book. Happy reading!

3.5

At times, it truly became extremely intense with all that was happening.

Certainly, there were certain parts of the book that seemed to be rushed.

However, despite this, the overall message that the book conveyed was quite good.

It managed to get across important ideas and concepts that left a lasting impression.

Perhaps if those rushed parts had been developed more fully, the book could have been even more impactful.

Nevertheless, it still had its strengths and was able to engage the reader on an emotional level.

The intense moments added excitement and kept the reader on the edge of their seat.

And the good message served as a valuable takeaway, making the book worth reading.

Overall, it was a mixed bag, but one that had enough positives to make it a worthwhile experience.

The story is often too corny.

There are whole chapters that describe the old people in a home saying nonsense, which is extremely boring.

Ashley's character is completely unappealing. She portrays herself as a victim and constantly lies to Landon.

Is lying really the Christian thing to do?

This aspect of her character makes it difficult to sympathize with her.

The story could have been more engaging if the author had focused on more interesting plotlines and developed the characters in a more believable way.

Overall, the book has its flaws and could have been improved with some better writing and character development.

I didn't want to rate any of the 5 books in this series until I was all the way finished.

And now that I am, it's hard to go back and rate each one individually. Whoops

This one was really hard to read.

There was just too much sadness throughout it.

The story seemed to drag on with all that sorrow, making it a bit of a struggle to get through.

However, it did have a great ending.

The conclusion was quite satisfying and brought a sense of resolution.

But I couldn't help but wish that the ending would have come much sooner.

If only the author had wrapped things up earlier, it might have made the reading experience more enjoyable.

As it was, I felt a bit worn out by the time I reached the end.

Still, despite the long and sad journey, that great ending did manage to leave a somewhat positive impression.

Maybe with a different pacing, this could have been an even better piece.
