I truly can't fathom being in Kari's position in real life. It would require an enormous amount of strength, perhaps even the strength of the Lord, to forgive and stay in a marriage that has been marred by adultery.

I'm not certain if I would be capable of doing the same, but I earnestly pray that I would always follow the Lord's path, no matter what.

The only aspect that I didn't care for and found to be extremely unrealistic was the reason behind Tyan and Kari's breakup. The so-called "miscommunication" seemed utterly ridiculous and hard to believe.

Nevertheless, it wasn't significant enough to impact my rating. I'm excitedly looking forward to spending more quality time with the Baxter family as I progress further in this story.

How can one claim to have any respect for the divine while spouting such rubbish?

Mrs. Kingsbury's books were introduced to me by my mother many years ago, and I was instantly hooked. Redemption was one of the first Kingsbury books that I read, and it remains one of my favorites.

The first time I read it, I was captivated, and the reread was no different. Whenever I find myself in a book funk or experience a tragedy in my life, I pick up Redemption. It reminds me that with God's redeeming grace, I can overcome anything.

As someone who endured a difficult first marriage, this book truly resonates with me. There are many aspects of the story that I can relate to, but I didn't rely on God as Kari did. I loved revisiting her character. It felt like reuniting with a long-lost friend. The pain and suffering she endured became my own. The sadness and struggle were palpable. I simply believe that the path suitable for one person may not be the same for another.
