This was passed along to me from a coworker and I think it's the first book by Kingsbury I've read.

I found it a bit saccharine, similar to many other Christian-lit or Christian romance novels. There are indeed problems presented in the story, but one can easily anticipate that they'll be neatly resolved by the end. It follows a somewhat predictable pattern where, in the end, everyone comes together, works things out, and everyone is left happy.

One aspect that bothered me was the way Luke seemed to have a bad reputation with his sisters when it came to Dayne. However, I felt that it was quite understandable that he was having difficulty adjusting. Maybe he was going through some internal turmoil or had his own reasons for reacting the way he did. It would have been nice to see a bit more exploration of his character and his feelings in this regard.

Overall, while the book had its charm and adhered to the typical formula of the genre, it didn't quite stand out for me.
