Father of Sarah Williams (played by Christopher Malcolm in the film). His wife and Sarah's mother, Linda, was a stage actor, and left him for another man, a fellow actor named Jeremy. Robert married Irene and they had a son named Toby. He is consistently depicted as craven and afraid to cross his wife.
