Hard as it may be, this is a wonderful book, written by a wonderful human being. Elie Wiesel is a role model for most of us. We now get the chance to have an insight into how he turned out to be the survivor, the student, the thinker, the teacher, the writer, and the Nobel laureate that the whole world knows today.

Maybe it will take some time to pick up the second part of his memoir, but I will definitely read it! This memoir offers a unique perspective on Wiesel's life and experiences, and despite its challenges, it is well worth the read.
