This might sound rather superficial, but truly, I would have unhesitatingly given it a full five stars if only it had boasted a more appealing cover.

It is simply难以置信 that a book of such remarkable popularity and success, having sold in large numbers, hasn't received a proper redesign in almost three decades!

The content, on the other hand, is of utmost utility. It is written with great skill and is extremely well-structured. I have already begun applying the knowledge it contains right away and am enthusiastically recommending it to all my loved ones.

It is a pity that the exterior doesn't match the excellence within. However, despite this shortcoming, the value of the book's content cannot be ignored. I truly hope that the publishers will consider giving it a fresh and updated look in the future to better showcase its wonderful qualities.

Fascinating theory indeed!

It claims that blood types play a crucial role in determining our body chemistry. This, in turn, dictates what kinds of foods are beneficial for our systems and which ones can act like poisons. However, there is a problem. If the foods we adore are on the "Avoid" list, it may necessitate significant lifestyle changes. A friend of mine has reported miraculous results. They lost 30 pounds and also experienced improvements in various ailments such as digestion, skin, and hair issues. But here's the question: Why aren't we taught these things? Why don't doctors seem to pay attention to them? Perhaps if we follow these guidelines, we could be much healthier instead of relying on pills to treat every ailment. I have decided to give it a try and see if it works for me.

The book puts forward the assertion that individuals should adhere to a diet that is based on their blood type, and it details precisely what that diet should entail within its pages.

The introduction section regarding the evolution of blood types was indeed interesting. However, after perusing the remainder of the book, I find myself questioning it to some extent as well. It must be admitted that I have only had my blood typed on one occasion (that I am aware of). And after reading the relevant sections of the book, I am left pondering whether either the hospital made an error (which seems rather unlikely) or if the information presented in the book is simply not of very high quality (yes, probably this).

Some of the book's claims, such as the idea that different diets work better or worse for different people, are rather self-evident. Nevertheless, I cannot fathom that one's blood type would be the sole determining factor in how one's diet impacts one's health. What about other genetic interactions? Chronic conditions? Environmental influences? Poor food quality? Only a portion of the information that is supposed to be applicable to me in the book actually is. And some of the book's information appears to be contradictory (for instance, avoid cooking with peanut oil but eat peanuts?). After becoming skeptical of the information in the book, I looked up a few reviews online on health websites, and they too were skeptical of this book's claims.

Finally, the book makes the same error that nearly all nutrition guides do: presuming that the average working individual has both the time and the financial means to consume the best and healthiest food every single day. Unless you are wealthy, you generally eat the best you can given the limited options that society provides. How is a poor person supposed to consume more fish and less meat when fish is so costly? How is a person supposed to cook for herself multiple times a day when she has to work 12-hour days just to avoid homelessness? Nutrition advice that cannot be followed by the majority of people due to socioeconomic conditions is of no practical use.

I was reading this for a challenge, rather than as a seeker of a diet. This might not have been helpful, but I really had to push through this time.

First off, although I don't believe in (nor can I disprove) the connection between blood type and dietary requirements, I think any of the diets promoted in this book are healthy. People could be successful in choosing and following one.

I just have a difficult time believing many of the claims. There are a lot of scientific terms being used, and it is mostly just asserted that they are true. Maybe it's because I'm a mathematician, but I prefer proof over claims. However, since I haven't tried it, I can't definitely say it doesn't work :) It just conflicts with quite a few of the things that have been effective for me in terms of diet and exercise.

My rating is solely based on my personal enjoyment and opinion. But again, if you need some healthy dietary guidelines, this could be a good option for you.

This book was originally written in the 90's. It truly captivated me as I delved into the fascinating world of different blood types.

Specifically for my blood type, it provided valuable suggestions regarding the foods that I should avoid. Without hesitation, I made the decision to cut these particular items from my diet. To my pleasant surprise, I noticed a significant difference almost immediately.

Interestingly, this book is not merely a tool for dieting, although it can be extremely useful in that regard if needed. Instead, it offers a plethora of ideas and delicious recipes for foods that are not only healthy but also compliment your unique system. It serves as a comprehensive guide that combines the science of blood types with practical and mouthwatering food suggestions, making it a must-read for anyone interested in optimizing their health through diet.

My newfound guilty pleasure has become subscribing to the diet, even though there is a lack of scientific research to support it.

It truly lost me, however, at the parts that delved into vaccines and infections.

It seems rather strange to include such topics within the context of a diet subscription.

Perhaps they were trying to make some sort of connection between overall health and dietary choices, but it just didn't quite land for me.

I still find myself drawn to the diet subscription, maybe out of curiosity or a desire to try something new.

But I can't help but be a bit skeptical when it comes to the claims and information presented, especially when it veers into areas that seem outside the realm of what a diet should typically cover.

Nonetheless, I'll continue to explore this guilty pleasure and see where it takes me.

Maybe there will be some hidden gems of useful dietary advice within, or perhaps I'll simply learn more about the importance of critical thinking when it comes to evaluating such subscriptions.

Only time will tell.

I read MOST of this book.

However, I didn't quite finish it as I had to return it to the library.

I only read the information that was relevant to my blood type.

Since I believe I grasped the essence of what the author intended to convey, I do regard it as read.

Perhaps I will eventually read the last chapter and a half at a later time.

The book is truly fascinating to read.

I firmly think this is a very compelling theory.

Nevertheless, I'm not sure if I would ever wholeheartedly commit to attempting it myself.

Maybe one day!

It's important to note that while the theory seems interesting, more research and personal exploration might be needed before making a final decision.

Overall, it was an engaging read that has piqued my curiosity.

I look forward to potentially delving deeper into it in the future.

I listened to the audiobook and the abridged version, which I got for free from the library.

It was a relatively quick 3+ hour listen. The actual book that I attempted to read years ago is actually quite extensive and contains a significant amount of scientific information.

This audiobook served as a good review for the practical aspects of diet changes that one can implement immediately based on his or her blood type diet.

I do follow this diet for myself, and I have found it to be very beneficial. In fact, it has been more effective for me than other diets that I have tried in the past.

The blood type diet seems to have a certain logic and scientific basis behind it, which makes it worth considering for those who are interested in improving their health through diet.

Overall, I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who wants to learn more about the blood type diet and how it can be applied in a practical way.

The author seems to rely solely on storytelling rather than providing scientific evidence to support his ideas. In fact, there are no references whatsoever in this book.

Unless research validates the author's concepts, they remain just that - ideas and not established facts.

It's also important to consider that the book/ideas were published in 1997. If they haven't been confirmed by now, one has to wonder if they ever will be.

Perhaps the author had some interesting thoughts, but without the backing of scientific research, it's difficult to take them seriously.

Readers should approach such books with a healthy dose of skepticism and look for additional sources of information to verify the claims made.

After all, in the world of knowledge and understanding, facts based on research are what truly matter.

This is an interesting read.

I have been consuming foods that are highly beneficial and natural for two months as of this writing, and the results have been extremely positive.

I have noticed a significant number of mistakes in the digital version of the book. The publisher really should correct these errors in the Type O sections.

It is quite concerning to see such mistakes in a published work, as it can potentially mislead readers.

Hopefully, the publisher will take this matter seriously and make the necessary corrections in a timely manner.

This will ensure that the readers can have a more accurate and reliable reading experience.

Overall, despite the mistakes in the digital version, the content of the book seems to be quite valuable and值得一读.

I picked this book up out of curiosity.

I have seen numerous different kinds of diets, yet most of them simply never had the allure for me that this one did.

As I perused the eating plan tailored to my blood type, I discovered that many of the items recommended to be avoided were precisely the things I didn't like - and I had never understood the reason before.

Conversely, the things I craved were on the beneficial list.

This really resonated with me.

I am currently making changes in my diet and truly hope that it proves to be helpful.

I hate to remove this book from my "currently reading" section as it serves as a valuable resource for me.

However, I am not actively engaged in reading this book at the moment.

My limit is approximately 3 books at a time. :)

I had always been curious about this book. So, I thought that now would be a great time to take a look at it. And let me tell you, it was definitely worthwhile. However, I'm glad that I read a library copy.

Almost one-third of the text is dedicated to a very detailed analysis and food recommendations for each type. Since I'm single, I focused on reading the section that pertained to me and skipped the others. The information was useful, but I'm not going to base the rest of my life around it. Well, except for reducing my wheat intake, which I was already planning to do anyway.

I found the Case Histories and Q&A sections to be of limited interest. They didn't really add much value for me. Maybe for some people, they might be more useful, but for me, they were just okay. Overall, I'm glad I read the book, but it didn't completely change my life or anything.
