3.5 was a beautiful book composed of different parts.

Anaïs was narrating the world almost effortlessly in the way she saw it.

If there were another Anaïs Nin, I would also read her work with pleasure.

This book seemed to take the reader on a journey through Anaïs' unique perspective.

Each part added a new layer to the overall story, making it a captivating read from start to finish.

The way Anaïs described things was so vivid that it was as if the reader could see and experience everything along with her.

It was truly a remarkable piece of literature that left a lasting impression.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about different perspectives and beautiful storytelling.

3.5 Stars

This rating of 3.5 stars indicates a rather decent experience.

It shows that there are aspects that are quite good, but perhaps not quite excellent enough to merit a full 4 or 5 stars.

Maybe there are some minor flaws or areas that could be improved upon.

However, overall, it still provides a level of satisfaction that is above average.

It could be a product that functions well, a service that is delivered competently, or an experience that has its亮点.

While it may not be perfect, it is still worthy of consideration and may even exceed the expectations of some.

With a little more attention to detail or refinement, it could potentially move up to a higher star rating in the future.

But for now, 3.5 stars is a respectable assessment that gives an indication of the quality and value that can be expected.

My disappointment was great, except for two stories that impressed me. The rest were extremely bad and boring.

I had high hopes when I started reading this collection of stories. However, as I delved deeper, I found that most of them failed to engage me.

The writing was lackluster, the plots were predictable, and the characters were one-dimensional. It felt like I was reading the same story over and over again.

Only two stories managed to break free from this monotony and capture my attention. They had unique premises, interesting characters, and engaging writing.

Overall, my experience with this collection was a mixed bag. While the two good stories were a pleasant surprise, the majority of the collection left a lot to be desired.

What is presented here is truly excellent in some aspects. However, when considering the collection as a whole, it is rather uneven.

Some of the pieces are surrealist, taking the reader on a journey through the realms of the imagination. Others are more like fables, imparting moral lessons in an engaging way. And then there are those that are straightforward narratives, presenting events and experiences in a clear and concise manner.

These different styles seem to jostle for space within the collection, and at times, they can appear jarring when placed beside each other. Some of the works, like the one on Artaud, feel a bit too forced, as if the author is trying too hard to make a point.

Overall, it's like a collection of stories by someone who is still in the process of finding their unique voice. While there is无疑 some excellent work within the collection, as a unified whole, I am not entirely convinced that it functions as effectively as it could.

Perhaps with further refinement and a more cohesive vision, this collection could reach its full potential.

I have an absolute adoration for the way Nin crafts such rich and frequently terrifying landscapes through her words.

Her short stories are truly remarkable. They possess an incredible beauty that is both captivating and haunting.

Their power lies in their ability to devastate the reader, to touch the deepest emotions and leave an indelible mark.

I find myself completely enamored with these stories, unable to resist their allure.

Each one is a unique journey into a world that Nin has created with her masterful use of language.

The vivid descriptions and the intense emotions make them a joy to read, despite the often dark and disturbing themes.

I cannot recommend Nin's short stories highly enough. They are a must-read for anyone who appreciates the power of words and the beauty that can be found in the most unexpected places.

The smile of nature is a powerful and somewhat mysterious force.

It quietly and proudly asserts its natural right to kill.

Nature, in all its beauty and grandeur, has its own laws and rhythms.

The cycle of life and death is an essential part of this natural order.

The smile of nature can be seen in the changing seasons, the growth and decay of plants, and the survival and extinction of species.

Sometimes, this smile may seem cruel or harsh, as when a powerful storm destroys a habitat or a predator hunts its prey.

However, it is also a reminder of the resilience and adaptability of life.

Despite the challenges and hardships that nature presents, life finds a way to persist and evolve.

The smile of nature is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that invites us to reflect on our place in the natural world and our relationship with it.

I was given this book as a gift last year. The person who gave it to me found it at a yard sale.

The paperback cover engraving is by Ian Hugo, who is one of the author's husbands. This Swallow edition from 1948 doesn't have a foreword or introduction.

I haven't read Anais Nin for many years. Some of her diaries, like "Delta of Venus," and most of my other books are in storage. I don't think I've read any of Nin's novels before.

I was in search of a physical book (not an ebook or audiobook) and came across this unread paperback. There is something very sensory about holding a book, seeing the words in print, and turning the pages. Nin's work is all about the senses. I began with the last story, "Birth" from 1938.

I've been reading the thoughtful reviews and I won't repeat what has already been said. I'm looking forward to delving deeper into this collection of stories and experiencing Nin's unique perspective on life and love.

A short book of short stories awaits, captivating readers with a charm that is almost like that of prose poems.

The tales within are lush, filled with vivid descriptions that paint a rich and detailed world. The grotesque elements add an air of mystery and intrigue, making the stories both strange and fascinating.

As one delves deeper into the book, they will find themselves lost in a labyrinthine web of narratives, each one leading to a new discovery.

This is not a book to be read quickly, but rather to be savored. The words should be allowed to wash over you, like a gentle breeze on a warm summer's day.

Take your time, let the stories unfold at their own pace, and allow yourself to be transported to a world of imagination and wonder.

It's really strange.

I was the craziest one about the two TV series, the garbage collector, the addicted one, the one who criticized everything, Khadija, the born one.

I don't know why these two TV series had such a great influence on me. Maybe it was because of the unique characters and plots in them. The garbage collector, although his job was not glamorous, he had a kind heart and was always ready to help others. The addicted one was a complex character, struggling between good and evil. And Khadija, she was a strong and independent woman,敢于追求自己的梦想.

These characters and their stories made me think a lot about life and human nature. They also inspired me to be a better person.

I always remember what happened between Debussy and Erik Satie. Debussy said to Satie that his works had no form. Then Satie replied by giving one of them the title: "Sonata in the Form of a Pear."

Oh, Anais Nin, how amazing you are!

It's really wonderful. Although I'm a bit confused, does it deserve five stars or not? Well, I'll give it five stars for its artistic sense, intelligence, delicacy, transparency, and the grace of its nuances.

Anais Nin is very charming. You feel as if she is a big carnival that contains many exhibitions and stories in great harmony. Oh, how I love it when I feel like I'm dancing.

This passage seems to express the author's admiration and thoughts about Anais Nin and some artistic works. It combines personal memories and evaluations, creating a vivid and emotional atmosphere.

Maybe the author is inspired by Anais Nin's works or her unique charm, and uses this text to convey his own feelings and understandings.

Overall, it's a rather interesting and engaging piece of writing.

The last stories in the collection are the ones that made me give four stars. Anais is obsessed with detailing and the strangeness of the description. Her stories seem like a luxurious sightseeing tour of carefully selected events in chosen cities. The people, places, and times that she weaves with the currents seem like a cared-for fabric.

The first story lacks precision in translation. The translation that would push the reader to move through the story with enjoyment and harmony. The pages are filled with minute details that needed a strong connection and a smooth narration. Generally, the judgment of a collection of short stories is not like the judgment of a novel or otherwise. Each story has its own style, tone, and structure. And yet, the collection is highly enjoyable.
