I have an intense love for this series!!!!!! It's truly one of my favorites.

I often find myself longing for the days when I had access to Starz so that I could have watched it in real-time as it was airing.

The anticipation and excitement of waiting for each new episode to come out would have been palpable.

I can only imagine the discussions and theories that would have emerged among fans during that time.

Despite not being able to watch it as it aired, I have still managed to enjoy the series thoroughly through other means.

The storylines, characters, and overall production value are all top-notch, and I can't get enough of it.

I highly recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a great show to watch.

It's definitely worth the investment of your time and will keep you entertained from start to finish.

It'll never be a part of the Western Canon, but it is indeed a highly satisfying "beach read."

It skillfully combines romance, history, and politics, with a hint of the paranormal to add an extra dash of excitement. I wouldn't classify it as a typical historical romance because, to me, that often implies a "bodice-ripper," and this is far from that. In fact, it places much more emphasis on the history and politics than on the romance. What I find truly fascinating is the concept of a relatively modern woman existing in that era, armed with her superior knowledge of science and the natural world, her ability to foretell future events, and her progressive ideals and perspectives.

Outside of this fictional realm (and without the charming and indomitable Jamie Fraser by her side), I can only imagine that a modern woman transported to the 1700s anywhere would find life absolutely appalling. Fortunately for Claire, she has Jamie, which enables her to practice medicine, speak her mind freely, and essentially do whatever she pleases without fear of consequence. Without his protection, I'm quite certain she would have been placed in the stocks, whipped at the back of a cart, or perhaps even burned as a witch shortly after her arrival.

I'm currently rereading the series one step ahead of the show, and it's been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. This has brought me up to speed for season 3, so the next book will remain on the shelf for a while. However, I will definitely be taking it down before season 4!

Claire Randall returned to her own time, realizing that they couldn't prevent the Battle of Culloden. Pregnant with her husband Jamie Fraser, she faced a separation that would last for twenty years. However, circumstances later led her to consider going back and finding her love. Destiny would reunite them and take them on new adventures.

The third part of this thrilling adventure takes us once again through the Scottish lands, across different eras, and even to the Caribbean islands. The author, with her thousand-page work, is capable of attracting anyone. This length is not synonymous with filler; it has been a total adventure. I liked it a thousand times more than the second part, and it was, of course, much more entertaining.

Diana Gabaldon continues to bring us her spectacular pen, with her beautiful descriptions and well-developed characters. She also leaves us with a plot that becomes more complex but doesn't leave any loose ends. Everything is very well woven, and no one gets lost - which could be normal considering we have many characters and several storylines besides the main one between Jamie and Clare. This is something I appreciate and am grateful for.

The story of Jamie and Clare has a lot to offer, and the author squeezes every drop of juice from these charismatic characters who have such great chemistry. The level of inventiveness and the number of adventures we go through are both enjoyable and painful because here they make us suffer, but also enjoy like children.

Jamie and Clare are in their normal tone, and I am equally fascinated by both of them. We have quite remarkable moments, and I liked that towards the end, the author showed us some very funny scenes between them that I don't remember reading in the previous books or that didn't seem as much to me.

The plot has developed smoothly, and all the themes have been more or less closed, revealing to us issues that were left pending. I think it has closed one part and now will take us towards a new moment and place with new intrigues and stories that the next book will bring us.

In conclusion, "Viajera" becomes for now the second-best book in this series after the first one, a "chunk" that is easily read because of how entertaining it is and with those already iconic protagonists.

Okay, if I had a half star, I would definitely award this one that additional half. The only reason being the presence of pirates. However, there are several things that really irritated me. For instance, the constant use of lines like "Och lassie, I swear I'll never lie to ye." and then immediately following it with "Oh, sorry, I didn't tell ye about that extra wife because I was afraid ye'd hate me. But that's all the secrets." And then again, "Och, I'm sorry I didn't tell ye about having a son, I was afraid ye'd hate me. But that's all the secrets, I swear."

Also, John Grey better make a much more prominent appearance in the next book. I really struggle to understand how he could be a character so adored that he merits his own series. He seems to be just thrown in there to prove that not all gay men are sadistic incestuous rapists. Oh wait, he's also in there as a means to have an awkward conversation about how overly long books don't require editors because it's all about character development. And how characters in books aren't really modeled after the author's wishful perception of herself and her sick fantasies about spanking her ideal love monkey (real life people).

The Longest Book I've Ever Read

I recently completed a book that holds the record for being the longest one I've ever read. It consisted of a whopping 949 pages, and it took me a solid 3 months to get through it. I would rate it 3.25 stars.

To be honest, it was definitely the worst book of the series so far. However, that doesn't mean it was bad. It still had its good and interesting aspects. The problem was that it was just far too long. The story seemed to drag on at times, and I found myself getting a bit impatient.

Thankfully, the last two pages gave me a glimmer of hope. They hinted that the next part of the series might be better. But, I won't even consider reading book 4 until summer. I need a break from this series for a while. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next installment has in store, but for now, I'll be exploring other books and genres.

I was absolutely delighted to reunite with my favorite characters, and this volume contained an astonishing number of adventures... almost a bit too many, in fact.

While I adored the central part, the first part was rather long-winded, and the last part, in a very different context, was less convincing to me, as I found the plot a bit too hocus-pocus and not believable. Volumes 1 and 2 remain by far my favorites for the time being!

Nevertheless, I will be thrilled to reconnect with my beloved saga soon with volume 4, which is warmly awaiting me.

Overall, despite some minor flaws, this installment still had its charm and kept me engaged throughout. I look forward to seeing what new adventures and developments await in the next volume.

"Welcome to the new world"

In the first book of the series, Jamie and Claire meet and fall in love.

In the second, they part ways. And in the third, our beloved couple has a reunion.

I really enjoyed reading about the rekindling of Jamie and Claire's romance. They get to know each other again, talk, show what happened, and especially show that they are not exactly the same people they were 20 years ago.

The book maintained the level of the previous one, with adventures and romance, and a story that still grips me intensely. These are characters that arouse that extreme need to always know what will happen next. And for this reason, this series is being read one after the other, never making me tired of their adventures.

Everyone wants Jamie's body. Randall, that menacing figure, eyes Jamie with a possessive gaze. Lord John Grey, too, seems to hold a certain fascination for Jamie's physique. Claire, his beloved wife, no doubt adores every inch of him. And then there's that teen girl, who perhaps has a youthful crush on the handsome Jamie. And me? XD

I can't deny that I, too, find myself drawn to Jamie's body. There's something about his strong build, his muscular frame that is simply captivating. Maybe it's the way he moves, with a grace and confidence that is truly alluring. Or perhaps it's the way his eyes sparkle when he smiles, making his entire being seem to glow. Whatever it is, I find myself constantly thinking about Jamie and his body, longing to be closer to him, to touch him, to feel his warmth.

It's a dangerous desire, I know, but one that I can't seem to resist. I find myself daydreaming about Jamie, imagining what it would be like to be with him, to have his body next to mine. I know it's wrong, but I can't help myself. Jamie's body is like a drug, and I'm addicted.

Maravilloso.

Out of the three books I have read in this saga, this one is by far the best. It has absolutely everything to be a complete novel: adventures, mystery, intrigues, emotional and thrilling moments, impeccable historical and period descriptions, new characters and the reunion with others, where, of course, the one of Claire and Jamie stands out (I think I read that chapter about three times to not miss even the tiniest detail), achieving an exquisite balance between the shyness of reuniting and the passion that unites them almost instinctively.

Moreover, the author continues to transfer her biting and ingenious style to the dialogues, making the reading, despite being so extensive, never decline. It is really recommendable.

This book truly offers a captivating experience. The adventures take the reader on a wild ride, filled with unexpected twists and turns. The mystery keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly guessing what will happen next. The intrigues add an extra layer of complexity, making the story even more engaging. The emotional moments tug at your heartstrings, while the thrilling scenes get your adrenaline pumping.

The historical and period descriptions are so detailed and accurate that you feel like you have been transported back in time. You can almost smell the gunpowder, feel the heat of the battle, and taste the food. The new characters are well-developed and add depth to the story, while the reunion of Claire and Jamie is simply magical.

In conclusion, this book is a must-read for any fan of historical fiction, romance, or adventure. It has something for everyone and will keep you entertained from start to finish. I highly recommend it.

4'75/5⭐

\\n  Viajera, the third installment of the Outlander saga, has truly amazed me. It is filled with adventures, action, romance, and mystery in equal parts.

Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. And when you believed someone was dead, now they weren't. And it was like that all the time! This made me unable to stop reading because of all the excitement and drama. Hahaha.

Claire has improved a great deal. I have loved her evolution and the person she has become. Jamie, I like him, but there are moments when I don't understand his way of acting and doing things. Well, never mind. Ian seemed to me like a really fun guy and I laughed a lot with him. And Fergus, what a lovely person

WARNING: The first part of this review (if this could still be called a review) will sort of be a homage/temple for worship to my beloved James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser, the most gorgeous and swoon-worthy hero ever existing in literature! He is truly one of a kind, with his charm, his strength, and his undeniable allure.

If I were to sing a song about Jamie, it would indeed be the one above. And never in my wildest dreams had I thought that I could fall in love more with him. But boy, was I wrong. Since I have to get a few things off my chest, I am INSERTING A SHORT LETTER TO JAMIE.

Jamie,

Oh, how I love you! I wish there was a way for me to find a seed and plant it, hoping it would grow into you. I want you so desperately that I fear I might become a spinster if I never meet you. Or someone almost as wonderful as you. I long to travel to Scotland, to Craigh na Dun, and time travel right into your arms. Blast your unwavering faithfulness to Claire! Unfortunately, I view your loyalty as both a very negative and a very positive thing. Negative because it means you’re not mine, but positive because it makes you so honorable. I love you, even though I know you will never love me back. I swear I won’t go back in time and harm Claire. I love you too much to ever want to see you hurt. But know this, whenever I think of you, I always have a smile on my face, even though I know you can never be mine. I wish you the best in all your travels.

Lovingly yours,
Jasmin

PS: I LOVE YOU JAMIE! I WISH YOU WOULD LEAVE CLAIRE AND PICK ME INSTEAD!

OKAY. I AM STOPPING NOW, BEFORE ANYONE REPORTS ME AND SAYS I AM DELUSIONAL AND IN NO SHAPE TO BE IN HUMAN COMPANY.

Okay, Jasmin, relax. Take a deep breath in, and then breathe out. Gather your wits and stop showing the world how stalker-ish you are.

Voyager is an absolute masterpiece. It is so beautifully written that it truly deserves more than five stars. In fact, it’s even better than that. If I could reach up and pluck real stars from the sky, I would offer every single one I could carry and more at Diana Gabaldon’s feet. That’s how amazing this book is.

The research that went into this book is evident, and the details are so vivid that they bring the story to life. It is still quite wordy and lengthy, but for me, that’s a good thing. All those words help me paint a clearer and more complete picture in my mind. This book isn’t just about romance, although there is a healthy dose of that. It’s also about loyalty, family, politics, and so much more. And I can sense that there is even more depth and complexity yet to come.

I would love to give a plot overview, but how? Where would I even begin when every word and every page seems so important? Diana Gabaldon has already managed to kill me three times over! The endings she creates are such fantastic cliffhangers that they make me want to pull my hair out in frustration. It is rare for an author to be able to make me thrash around in my bed like that, but clearly, she is one of the few. The ending of this book made me want to smash things, but at the same time, Diana deserves all the credit and honors because what she has given me is priceless. She gave me Jamie, and she also gave me an epic love story that will stay with me forever.

Diana, how can I explain to everyone that you made me lose the little sanity I had left with this book?

The life of Jamie and Claire continues to be something worthy and desperate to read. It's desperate because you get so attached to their characters that at the slightest hint of danger, you want to save them.

Once again, you created a masterful book, a story that captivates you from beginning to end. This time, you don't give us a moment's rest. Everything that happens is so intense that you can't go a day without reading.

Just like your previous books, it has everything a book should have: a careful and detailed but agile narration, new characters who make you smile and take the situations to the limit, a show of surprising and completely interesting culture.

I loved "Viajera" from its first pages and I highly recommend this saga. You won't regret it. Now I'll go for the 4th book.

What new things will it bring me?
