Ebook.

It is a well-written piece that features captivating plot twists as the story unfolds through its four parts. The protagonist undergoes a gradual breakdown, which adds an element of drama and tension.

Nash, the central character, is experiencing a crisis of conscience concerning all the criminals he has defended. This internal struggle reaches a boiling point when one of those criminals turns against him.

While some of the ethical aspects presented in the book may be open to question, the overall belief system is not overly strained. The author manages to explore complex moral dilemmas in a way that engages the reader and makes them think about the gray areas that exist in the legal and ethical landscapes.

Overall, the ebook offers an engaging read with its interesting plot and thought-provoking themes.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It had a truly captivating story that kept me engaged from start to finish. The plot was filled with twists and turns that made it impossible to put down.

One of the things I liked most about the book was the variety of characters. Each character was unique and had their own distinct personality and backstory. This made the story more interesting and added depth to the overall narrative.

In addition to the great story and characters, the book was also very well written. The author's writing style was engaging and easy to follow, and they did a great job of creating a vivid and immersive world for the reader to explore. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.

The Last Innocent Man was written 35 years ago, and it is indeed showing its age.

This courtroom drama, which in some ways seems like a precursor to The Lincoln Lawyer, has its flaws. It is a bit slow and plodding, lacking the fast-paced excitement that modern audiences might expect.

The plot twists, while not entirely predictable, are close enough that they don't offer much in the way of surprise. However, it's important to remember that this movie was made in a different era, and perhaps its pacing and style were more in line with what audiences of that time were used to.

Despite its age and shortcomings, The Last Innocent Man still has some redeeming qualities. The performances are solid, and the courtroom scenes are well-shot and engaging. It may not be a classic in the same vein as some of the great courtroom dramas of today, but it's still worth a watch for those interested in the genre or in seeing how movies have changed over the years.

A great legal thriller!

It poses the ethical question: Is every defendant entitled to the best defense possible?

This thought-provoking query lies at the heart of the story.

The legal drama unfolds, captivating the reader with its twists and turns.

As the plot thickens, we are forced to grapple with the complex issue of a defendant's right to a top-notch defense.

Does every accused person deserve the utmost effort from their legal representative?

The story explores this question in a thrilling and engaging way.

It makes us question our own beliefs and values when it comes to the legal system.

Overall, it's a must-read for anyone interested in legal thrillers and ethical dilemmas.

I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The author did an excellent job of presenting a compelling story while also raising important questions.

I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

This is not my favorite book written by this author.

To be honest, if I had read this particular book first, I probably wouldn't have bothered to pick up another one by the same author.

The reason for this is that compared to "Executive Priviledge", which is an outstanding piece of work, this book just doesn't measure up.

"Executive Priviledge" has a more engaging plot, well-developed characters, and a writing style that keeps the reader hooked from start to finish.

In contrast, this book seems to lack the same level of excitement and depth.

It fails to capture my attention and hold it throughout the story.

Perhaps if the author had put more effort into developing the story and characters, this book could have been a lot better.

As it stands, however, it is a disappointment and not one that I would recommend to others.

At the beginning, it was rather boring. The story seemed to be unfolding in a rather predictable and uninteresting manner. However, as it progressed, something truly remarkable happened. Towards the end, there was a major plot twist that completely changed the direction and perception of the entire narrative.

This unexpected turn of events took me by surprise and added a new layer of excitement and intrigue to the story. It made me look back at the earlier parts with a new perspective and appreciate the build-up that had been happening all along.

Despite the initial dullness, I found myself really enjoying the story overall. The plot twist was so engaging and captivating that it made up for any shortcomings in the beginning. It left me with a sense of satisfaction and a desire to explore more stories that could offer such unexpected and thrilling moments.

In conclusion, this experience taught me that sometimes, even if a story starts off slowly, it can still have the power to surprise and delight us with a well-crafted plot twist. It reminds us to be patient and give a story a chance to unfold before passing judgment.

ANOTHER great suspense courtroom drama by Margolin

This new offering from Margolin is sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats. The story unfolds in a courtroom, where the stakes are high and the drama is palpable.

The characters are well-developed and complex, each with their own motives and secrets. As the trial progresses, the twists and turns keep coming, leaving the reader guessing until the very end.

Margolin's writing is engaging and vivid, painting a detailed picture of the courtroom and the people involved. The legal procedures are described in such a way that even those without a legal background can easily understand.

Overall, this is another excellent addition to Margolin's body of work. If you're a fan of suspense and courtroom dramas, then this is a must-read.

Excellent! This simple word holds a world of meaning. It represents the highest level of achievement, the pinnacle of success. When we describe something or someone as excellent, we are acknowledging their outstanding qualities, their remarkable abilities.

Excellence can be seen in many aspects of life. It could be in the form of a student who consistently gets top grades, a professional who excels in their field, or an athlete who breaks records. It is the result of hard work, dedication, and a passion for doing things to the best of one's ability.

To achieve excellence, one must be willing to put in the effort and make sacrifices. It requires discipline, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Excellence is not something that comes easily; it is earned through years of hard work and determination.

In conclusion, excellence is a quality that we should all strive for. It is a measure of our success and a reflection of our character. Whether in our personal or professional lives, we should always aim to be excellent and to make a positive impact on the world around us.

This is the second book by Margolin that I have "read" (both were in the form of audiobooks). Margolin is truly excellent. I'm certain that his twenty years of experience as a criminal lawyer contribute a great deal.

His portrayal and development of the "bad" character are rather disturbing, and the way he combines two different scenarios is quite clever. It really keeps the listener engaged and on the edge of their seat.

However, there are some aspects that I find a bit lacking. The coincidences that occur in the story are not very believable, especially when one is listening to someone read it. It can sometimes take away from the overall authenticity of the narrative.

Nevertheless, despite these flaws, the book is still quite memorable. It leaves a lasting impression and makes one think about the nature of good and evil, as well as the complex web of circumstances that can lead to certain actions. Overall, I would recommend this book to others who enjoy thrilling and thought-provoking stories.

Have you ever read a book from cover to cover only to feel that it was an absolute waste of your precious time? Well, this particular book is a prime example of just that. The plot was so clumsily constructed that it was painfully obvious, even for a mystery. There was simply no excitement or fun to be had.

I might have mentioned this before and simply forgotten, but based on this book, Phillip Margolin is a writer that should be avoided for all the reasons stated in the previous paragraph.

First and foremost, the identity of the bad guy is evident right from the start of the book. Anyone who can't see it coming is dumber than Forrest Gump. In fact, anyone who is fooled by this simplistic plot is dumber than a tree stump, stupider than dirt, and more ignorant than a five-year-old watching wrestling. It is blatantly obvious that the client who "jokingly" confesses to murder is the culprit. He is such a creepy and unlikable character.

To make matters worse, the lawyer's dilemma of having a one-night stand with a mystery woman only to later discover that she is his new client's wife is far-fetched. And then, to find out that she has lied as an alibi for her husband and he is now facing an ethical quandary is just too much. Even more so, his discovery that the night in question was the same night as his one-night stand is a stretch. Come on - coincidence does not a good mystery novel make.

In conclusion, do not read Phillip Margolin. Save your time and pick up a better book.

I have an unwavering love for a great courtroom drama. Law as a subject has always had an irresistible allure for me. This book had an extremely promising start. The suspense was skillfully crafted, building up gradually at just the perfect pace. The suspect you get to know seems to exude sleaziness right from the pages. I truly believed that this had the potential for an outstanding ending and a moment that would make me go "Hell Yeah!".

However, unfortunately, it failed to deliver on that promise. In certain parts, the subject of Nash's affection was really irritating. Her lines of dialogue, where she doesn't finish her sentences and they just trail off, were extremely annoying. David Nash was such a nice guy, despite being a defense attorney. He was just beginning to realize that what he was doing for a living was not fulfilling and he was not satisfied with his life's work. I'm certain that many lawyers experience this.

But with the way the story was laid out and the build-up of what was to come, it JUST starts to get good. You think something really exciting is going to carry you to the end, and then WHAM! It's done, over with. There's no big justice! No vengeance! NOTHING. It's just neatly wrapped up at the end with a freakin' pretty pink bow. What a disappointment. I really liked the first book I read by Margolin, Sleeping Beauty. I had anticipated the same level of suspense with this one. But it was nowhere close.
