However, the collection started to lose its momentum in the 80's. And quite frankly, the 90's stuff about his trial should have been left out entirely. It's a pity that the book had to conclude with some of the weakest content.

Overall, if you have any interest in HST and his brilliant gonzo style, I would highly recommend reading at least the first 75% of this book. It offers a great insight into his unique perspective and writing style during his prime years.
