After reading this great account of Hunter S. Thompson and the lessons he taught his young wife, Anita Thompson, I've embarked on a profound and extended examination of the tenets that govern my life. It might not be everyone's cup of tea to consider this the best book, but the core lessons she presents are truly valuable.

Part of the message was an effort to dispel the misconception that Hunter was merely a drug-crazed, gun-toting lunatic. In reality, he was a genius who never ceased learning and a man who boasted a large community of life-long friends. I was among those who initially knew only one side of him, but there are numerous individuals out there, perhaps hippie-ass, bastard swine, out-of-control, nut-job, ne'er-do-well freaks, who desperately need to grasp this precise message.

Hopefully, you will also find something of worth in this account and enjoy the journey of discovery as I have.

I found this book to be mostly superfluous.

It is rather light on content and seems to be little more than a tribute to the late HST.

However, having said that, it does make a nice collector's item.

This is because it has a very pleasing hardcover binding and wonderful calligraphy marking each chapter and chapter segment.

The book mostly exposits on what Anita saw as Hunter's philosophy on life.

I didn't find it preachy, and for that, I'll give it credit.

Nevertheless, I can't attribute it as much more than a collector's item due to its short length.

For the price, though, it will look nice on your shelf.

It's really only worth getting if you're a die-hard HST addict.

You might enjoy the aesthetics and the nod to HST, but don't expect a deep and profound exploration of his ideas.

Overall, it's a bit of a mixed bag, but if you're a collector or a big fan, it could be a nice addition to your collection.

Short, sweet, and highly enjoyable.

I had the pleasure of reading this particular piece right after delving into Ralph Steadman's The Joke's Over.

It was truly fascinating to gain another perspective from someone who was so closely associated with HST.

The author's insights provided a unique window into the world and mind of HST.

It was like uncovering hidden layers of a complex personality.

The writing style was engaging and easy to follow, making it a quick yet fulfilling read.

Overall, it added a new dimension to my understanding of HST and his work.

I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about this iconic figure.

It offers a fresh take that is both enlightening and entertaining.

Hunter S. Thompson's widow Anita has penned a truly touching eulogy for her late husband. What's rather unexpected (at least to me) is that it comes in the format of a pop-psychology self-help advice book. In it, she provides 7 tips for living the Gonzo life according to Hunter's personal ethos.

There are some truly great anecdotes within these pages. They offer very interesting insights into what it would actually be like to live with a chaotic force like Hunter Thompson. One of the key takeaways from this book is the description Anita says Hunter used for himself frequently. He considered himself to be "a teenage girl in the body of an elderly dope fiend." This simple yet profound statement really seems to explain a lot about the complex and unique character that was Hunter S. Thompson.

Overall, this book is not only a beautiful tribute to a remarkable man but also a fascinating exploration of a lifestyle and a mindset that was truly one of a kind. It's a must-read for anyone interested in Hunter S. Thompson or in the idea of living life to the fullest in a rather unconventional way.

I have an intense love for the work of Hunter S. Thompson. His unique writing style and unapologetic approach to journalism have always fascinated me.

Now, to my great excitement, his widow has taken on the task of writing a book that delves into his philosophy. This is truly a remarkable development.

It is difficult to imagine how this could be any better. The opportunity to gain further insights into the mind and beliefs of such a传奇 figure through the eyes of his widow is simply invaluable.

I can't wait to get my hands on this book and explore the depths of Hunter S. Thompson's philosophy. It is sure to be a captivating and enlightening read.

I have no doubt that this book will become a must-read for fans of Hunter S. Thompson and anyone interested in the world of journalism and philosophy.

I had expected a great deal more profound insights from his wife. However, it turned out to be rather disappointing.

She could have offered more valuable perspectives and thoughts that might have enlightened and inspired us. But alas, it was not to be.

On a different note, the saying "Fear is the antifreedom. Never apologize, never explain." holds a certain truth.

Fear often restricts our actions and prevents us from experiencing true freedom. And the idea of not constantly apologizing and explaining oneself can be liberating.

It allows us to be more confident in our decisions and actions, and not be overly concerned with what others might think.

But it's also important to know when to apologize and explain, as there are times when it is necessary and appropriate.

Overall, these two thoughts seem to contrast each other, yet they both have their own significance and implications.
