This one's great, as usual! After the slaughter at the Devil's Nest Ed is wounded ans his arm broken. The boys return to Rush Valley, where Whinry was last seen becoming an apprentice to a highly-skilled auto-mail guy (I forget his name!!! Urg!). And, because Al recovered his memory of 'that thing' he can suddenly use alchemy WITHOUT a transmutation circle! THAT they skipped in the show! IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! There was this scale with Ed's good stuff like strength and 'Alchemy skill' and there was a scale with Al's good stuff, which was much higher! Ahhhh it was funny!!!! I laughed out loud Also, the brothers meed a new character, a prince from the East, who wants to learn about the Philosopher's Stone!!!!!!!! Also this is the only one I didn't read in one day :( I was waited and waited for my mom to go to bed (hehehhehe) but when she finally did I was too tired to withdraw my secret reading light :P

Um... how many more volumes do I have to go??? :)

Primer y esperemos que único tomo de la serie en bajar a tres estrellitas. ¿Tanto empeora de golpe que la calidad baja un 20% de golpe? No, si en vez de una medida de cinco estrellitas se usara una de diez, seguro le habría bajado un solo punto. Y no porque la historia vaya empeorando ni nada por el estilo, sino porque llega un punto en el que me parece que la autora empezó a dudar qué hacer con los personajes principales y no se le ocurrió otra que correr para adelante y sacar de la galera otro toquito de personajes que vienen de lejano oriente y que no se entiende si son buenos, malos, neutros, humanos, homúnculos o qué. A simple vista parecen bastante simpáticos estos "xinitos", pero en cuanto al desarrollo de la historia en sí, la verdad es que lo entorpecen bastante. Cuando haga una releída íntegra de toda la serie quizás vea la "big picture" y le suba algún punto. Por ahora, y desde mi imnorancia, se queda con tricota.

Another piece of the larger plot gets revealed in this absorbing series. With the addition of new characters, this series continues on its merry way.

Özellikle fantastik ögelerin bulunduğu neredeyse her kitap-film gibi şeyde ölümsüzlük mutlaka kendine yer buluyor, daha doğrusu ölümsüzlük hırsıyla yanıp tutuşanlar. bu seride de bu tür kişilerin sayısı giderek artıyor, umarım bu artış böyle devam etmez, seride kendini tekrara sebep olur. Onun dışında güzel bir ciltti, yeni katılan karakterlerin seriye baya renk katacağını düşünüyorum.

Edward Elrick is a boy whose brother is a robot. He is currently looking for a magical stone called a Philosopher's Stone to revive his mother and bring his brother back to human form. However, he found a prince from another village and wishes to team up with him. But, the prince and Edward wants the same thing, the stone.
This book is a volume of a set. Even though this and Volume 9 was the only books I read on this saga, I finished the story through the cartoon. In the end, because of brotherly love, the 2 brothers survive, only to be seperated for a long time.

My son says this one is definitely his favorite so far.

So the plot thickens! Stakes are raised, new mysteries appear, and I'm very interested in all of it. There is more world building, we get introduced to some new characters from a country named Xing. On one hand there is Mei, a little girl with a panda that I find annoying. I usually dont like children in books (or manga in this case) and this isn't the exception. Theres also Ling, who I think is less annoying in the manga than in the anime, in part because I really didn't like the voice he was given and this isn't a factor anymore. Also, I think Wrath might become one of my favorite homunculus.

Love where the story is going. It's getting more complex with every volume, and I like how we're learning more about Führer King Bradley. The art style has been improving a lot lately, and I like how we're seeing the characters age, without them losing their charm.

There are few new characters - looking for secret of immortality. Ling & Greed - hmm, I wondered why their attitude almost the same.Too bad my fav greed is go bye bye, I wish he's alive n told Edward about everything before evil organization find out. Alphonse finally remembered the thing that happened when he was in human trasmutation. Winry beat up Edward for breaking the automail again
