I absolutely adored this book. It was truly outstanding and captivating.

Louis, the protagonist, faced a significant problem. However, he was determined and resourceful enough to find a solution.

Every great story indeed revolves around a problem, and Louis' was no exception. It was a big and challenging one that kept me on the edge of my seat.

His journey to overcome this problem was nothing short of wonderful. It was filled with excitement, adventure, and moments of great inspiration.

I was completely engrossed in his story and couldn't put the book down until I had reached the end.

This book not only entertained me but also taught me valuable lessons about perseverance and problem-solving. It is definitely a must-read for anyone who loves a good story.

Oh, how I truly wish that I could have read this remarkable book decades ago.

It is not only wise but also incredibly funny, interesting, and beautiful.

The author's deep love for birds is evident in the creation of Louis, who represents their strength and intellect.

Louis is such a captivating character that makes one's imagination soar.

I find myself eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see a real trumpeter swan.

Preferably, I hope to encounter one in the wild, where it can freely展现 its grace and beauty, rather than in a zoo.

The thought of witnessing a trumpeter swan in its natural habitat fills me with excitement and a sense of wonder.

I believe it would be an unforgettable experience that would further deepen my appreciation for these magnificent creatures.

A beautiful story full of life and characters.

It is truly a captivating piece that takes the reader on a journey through a world filled with vivid personalities and exciting events.

Each page is filled with details that draw you in and keep you engaged from start to finish.

Whether it's the charming protagonist or the supporting cast, every character has their own unique traits and qualities that make them unforgettable.

I love E. B. White! His works have a special charm that appeals to readers of all ages.

His writing style is both simple and profound, making it accessible to everyone while still containing deep meanings and messages.

Overall, this story is a must-read for anyone who loves a good tale filled with life, love, and adventure.

I made a decision to reread this book for the very first time since my childhood days. To my great surprise, it still held all of its enchanting magic. E.B. White's remarkable sense of humor truly manages to shine through in this utterly charming book.

As I read it as an adult, I was deeply struck by his profound respect for young readers. His unique way of storytelling is so effortless and seamless that it simply brings the readers along on the adventure without any hesitation.

Admittedly, some parts of the story are now seriously outdated. For instance, the classroom scene where the teacher poses a math problem specifically "for the girls in the class" that is related to babies and baby bottles. However, for the most part, it remains a timeless story. It is a beautiful tale of a nature-loving boy and a sensational swan, a story that will continue to capture the hearts of readers of all ages for generations to come. :)

This book is unexpectedly hilarious LOL. I'm completely in love with the dad swan. Every time he speaks, it's this ridiculously long and winding prose filled with fancy words. The story is so goofy. Louis, a swan, goes to school, understands English, and learns to read and write. The teacher teaches him and all that. Louis' dad even breaks into a music store and steals a trumpet. Then Louis plays the trumpet at a zoo and gets paid and everything

4.5 Book and Audiobook

Books and audiobooks have become essential companions in our lives. A good book can transport us to different worlds, introduce us to new ideas, and inspire us. With the advancement of technology, audiobooks have also gained popularity. They offer a convenient way to enjoy a book while on the go, doing chores, or exercising.

Both books and audiobooks have their own unique advantages. A book allows us to read at our own pace, take notes, and flip back and forth between pages. We can also enjoy the physical act of holding a book and turning its pages. On the other hand, an audiobook provides a more immersive experience. The narrator's voice can bring the story to life and add an extra layer of emotion.

In conclusion, whether you prefer a traditional book or an audiobook, the important thing is to keep reading and learning. Both forms of media have the power to enrich our lives and expand our horizons. So, pick up a book or an audiobook today and start your journey of discovery.

Everett, who is 7 years old, gave this book an outstanding rating of 942 stars out of 5. She absolutely loved it!

Her favorite part, as she put it, was when Louis fell in love. It was truly a captivating moment for her.

She would constantly beg for more chapters to be read aloud to her. The story had such a hold on her that she couldn't get enough of it.

The language and vocabulary in this book are simply phenomenal. It felt like the most poetic of E.B. White's books that we have read so far. The words seemed to dance on the page, creating a beautiful and enchanting world for Everett to explore.

Overall, this book has been a huge hit with Everett, and she can't wait to see what adventures await her in the next chapters.

For some reason, I owned this book, yet I never read it as a child, nor did I read it to my own children.

Perhaps I had the perception that it would never be able to compare to Charlotte’s Web, which is undoubtedly one of the best-written children’s books of all time.

Trumpet of the Swan is more akin to Stewart Little, but it is even more fantastical.

It is truly a very sweet story, with certain parts that are achingly beautiful.

There is bravery exhibited by the characters, along with honesty, hard work, resourcefulness, and respect.

Moreover, there are fascinating glimpses into the natural world, which add an extra layer of charm to the narrative.

I am glad that I was encouraged by my friends to read it.

However, Charlotte’s Web will always hold a special place in my heart and remain my favorite of EB White’s books.

Another favourite of mine!

In my opinion, E.B White didn't write enough children's literature at all!!

I loved every one of his books. His works have a unique charm that attracts readers of all ages. The characters he creates are vivid and the stories are filled with warmth and wisdom. For example, in "Charlotte's Web", the friendship between Wilbur and Charlotte is truly touching. It shows us the importance of loyalty and sacrifice. Another great book is "Stuart Little", which tells the adventures of a tiny mouse. The story is full of excitement and imagination. E.B White's writing style is simple yet powerful, making his books accessible to children while also appealing to adults. I hope there will be more people who discover and enjoy his wonderful works.

Re-reading favorites from my younger years is truly the absolute best.

It's like taking a wonderful trip down memory lane. When you pick up those old books or comics that you loved so much as a child, it's as if all the joy and excitement come flooding back.

You can vividly remember the first time you read them, the places you were in, and the emotions you felt.

It's amazing how these favorites have the power to transport you to a different time and place.

You notice new details and understandings that you might have missed when you were younger.

Re-reading also gives you a sense of comfort and familiarity.

It's like reuniting with old friends that you haven't seen in a long time.

Overall, it's an experience that is both nostalgic and fulfilling.

I was truly enjoying this audiobook. Then, all of a sudden, Louis received the stolen trumpet from his father, and that's when I absolutely fell head over heels in love with it!

I fell in love because right at that moment, the narration paused, and a real note played on a trumpet rang out boldly. It was like a magical moment that took my breath away. I couldn't help but wonder if these short musical interludes would continue, and to my great delight, they did! All throughout the book, whenever Louis plays taps at Camp KooKoosKoos, or "Cradle Song" on the lake in Boston followed by the swan boat, or his own composition for his beloved Serena in the Philadelphia Zoo, the reader has the privilege of hearing these songs played on a real trumpet.

This was such a sweet and unexpected surprise that made my experience with this audiobook completely immersive. It felt like I was right there with Louis, experiencing his adventures and emotions.

"The Trumpet of the Swan" was my favorite book growing up, and getting to listen to it read by the author is truly a special treat. I look forward to the days when I can share this wonderful book with my kids, reading and listening to it together, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
