I truly adored this book, and all of my children, whose ages range from 13 to 3, share the same sentiment.

Listening to the audio version, which was read by the author himself, made it an even greater favorite among us.

Sam Beaver, an inquisitive eleven-year-old boy, discovers the nest of a trumpeter swan. One of the hatchlings encounters a problem, and he teams up with Sam to overcome it.

This is a touching tale of friendship, courage, and perseverance that elicited both tears and laughter from us.

Moreover, it inspired us to have conversations about how to assist one of our children with his developmental delays.

Books that can spark such meaningful conversations are undoubtedly the best.

They have the power to not only entertain but also educate and bring families closer together.

This particular book has become a cherished part of our family's literary collection.

We will surely be revisiting it time and time again.

Blissfulness is an emotion that you would experience from the very beginning until the very end. It's a feeling that is truly captivating and enchanting. This is a story that I can't wait to read to my little ones in the near future!

Sam is an incredibly wonderful human being. Swan dad showcases the beauty of repeat good fatherhood, which is truly heartwarming. And Louis, he is my absolute favorite swan of all.

I have found myself laughing out loud at various points in the story. It has also had the power to restore my hope and fill me with a complete sense of ease. Mentally, I feel as if I'm up in the clouds, flying freely, but without a trumpet and a pencil (if you understand the reference, you know

I had an absolute blast reading this to my kids at bedtime.

We delved into the wonderful world of classic jazz songs by googling those mentioned. It was truly a treat to hear Frank Sinatra's smooth and soulful renditions of 'Old Man River' and 'There's a Small Hotel'.

And Glen Campbell's 'Gentle on My Mind' and 'There's No Place Like Home' had us all swaying along.

EB White's work is filled with a subtle humor that is both endearing and engaging. His oblique references to 1960s American culture add a unique charm that can be appreciated by people of all ages.

It's also very clear that he has a deep love for language and the art of writing. His words flow effortlessly, painting vivid pictures in our minds and captivating our hearts.

This bedtime reading session was not only enjoyable but also educational, introducing my kids to the beauty of classic literature and music.
