This book I liked since I felt it provided concrete information about world problems yet rational hope for improvement. I wish my economic background were a bit stronger so I could grasp this work better, but its end was satisfying: there's a lot to do, and it's going to be hard, but there's no time better than the present to start.

"A follow up to "Globalization and its Discontents", it reiterates the message that the global financial system needs a complete overhaul, including the IMF, World Bank, trade regimes, bailout methods, monetary reserves, development initiatives, resource ownership, debt burdens of developing countries, etc. A veritable laundry basket of solutions, but I wonder how realistic many of them are."

Joseph presents the harsh reality of globalization, especially trade and IP management and how the industrialized rich countries has used their size and influence to tip the global market their way - making the developing and poorer countries suffer unnecesserely. He details how and why the global market is broken, but also how it can be fixed. One of the most eye opening and enlighting books I've read.

Conclusion: Read it. I highly recommend everyone to read this book.
