It's been a while, but I remember thinking the whole development and ending of Jane was strange. I liked the character developments. I didn't think it compared to Ender's game in action or uniqueness, however they were still good reads.

The series slowly got worse as the books went on. I felt as though I was barely able to finish this one. Good story, just dragged out a little to long.

Loved it - left me wanting more. It was kind of like a mystery throughout much of the book and had me guessing many possible solutions - only to be surprised by the end. It teaches that you can never judge someone else's actions until you understand the way they think and believe.

I listened to the Audio CD's of these books, but since I can't find the CD's grouped together and I don't want to write the same review over and over, I will write it here.

I read these all quite a few years ago after I had read Ender's game. I remember that I had thought they were ok but not great. As I have been listening to books as I drive to and from work each day I thought I would try these out. Listening to them was great - they have been very well done. I would definitely recommend listening to all of the Ender books if you get a chance.

The first of the series is really the best. Probably just stick to Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. The rest of the series is an intriging enough to get through the thick books but it get weird really quick.

once again another interesting set of stories from Orson Scott Card and once again two of the books in this set have a bit too much repetition of content.

As this was listed as a set, I must say that the Speaker of the Dead was by far the best. It was a very moving story, especially when the "Speaker" told the tragedy of the deceased's life, truthfully and unreservedly. The other novels paled in comparison hence the three stars.

A continuation of the Enders Game series, and WOW. The dude did it again.

Although it has much less of a militant lens this time around, it dove into the minds of its characters (beyond Ender) as they experienced unfathomable circumstances with a NEW alien race that they call the Piggies. The question being explored throughout the book is whether they belong to the "Varelse" category (Varelse were defined as true aliens; they may or may not be sentient beings, but are so foreign that no meaningful communication is possible with the subject) or belong to the "Ramen" category (Ramen were defined as strangers recognized as "human", but of another sentient species entirely. The term was only ever used to refer to the entire species as a whole rather than an individual member).

As you can imagine, this equation is much similar to the one Ender faced in Enders Game, however this time he has his prior experiences with the Buggers to drive his actions forward. Loved this book.

Pretty cool. I liked it.
Hated most of the voices, but loved the story.
