Short stories. Some quite brilliant. I especially liked "A Careful Man Dies". Some were surprisingly mediocre. And as much as I hate to admit it, I am not a fan of the long-form poem. So glad to finish that one.

This is a varied compilation of quick short stories. Included are sweet tales of love, dark tragedies of violence, imaginative speculations of the future, and humdrum anecdotes of everyday life. Like any collection, some are better than others, but overall it is an interesting and worthwhile experience. My favorites were "The Cat's Pajamas" (cute and quirky) and "A Matter of Taste" (though I wish it had a different ending).

I read the "complete" short stories of Ray Bradbury once up a time (most of them) and still find this collection new and interesting. The man was quite the observer and thinker. I would go so far as to say he should inspire many new authors to possibilities if they would let him.

Normally I like short stories by authors, especially ones well established. However this collection was a bit of a hit and miss. I believe modern sensibilities leaves some of the stories that Bradbury wrote much to be desired. However, there were a couple of stories that really stood out for me, for better or worse. The John Wilkes Booth/Warner Brothers/MGM/NBC Funeral Train story was both interesting but confusing to me, I think I understood what he was trying to get at with entertainment's exploitation of past tragedies but I feel like there was something else he was trying to get at and I just can't figure it out. I think what really spoke to me was I Get the Blues When it Rains (A Remembrance). There's something timeless about reminiscing on nostalgia, especially music.

Fluye sonoramente.
Siempre es bueno leer a uncle Ray.

Ah, bittersweet! I read this book of short stories by Ray Bradbury because they were by Ray Bradbury. I knew they likely weren't his best. (They weren't.) The first bunch of stories had probably been rejected in their time -- I was reminded of reading first attempts in a creative writing class. There were a few gems that reminded me of old-time Bradbury's genius, and one or two tugged at melancholy heartstrings. To be honest, I was disappointed. But I still enjoyed one last stroll through his stories, now that he's gone.

This book is a collection of 22 short stories. Some are spooky, some fantasy, a couple sci-fi. Most of them seem dated, but still an interesting read.

Very satisfying

Ray Bradbury is considered one of the best for a reason. The stories cover a wide range of subjects and settings, but they are all great reads.

22 short stories from Bradbury's life that were mostly unpublished, spanning 60 years of work. Strange worlds and weird moments, that usually leaves the reader thinking, "what did i just read" and "how did he think of this." not as sci-fi as his other works (highly recommend martian chronicles) but a very fast and enjoyable read.
