I enjoyed this collection of short stories as I was reading it, but when I was done, I couldn't remember much of what I'd read. I had the most fun with "Hail to the Chief," in which a group of U.S. Senators gambles away the nation at a Native American tribe's casino.

I'm not much of a short story person. I got this book because I wanted to read a Bradbury story about a cat for comfort, or some such. That title came up in reference to a quilt that my awesome granddaughter, Ramona, had. (well, originally it was her mother's) It turns out to be the wrong book. With Cat for Comfort is an illustrated children's book.
t
I got about halfway through this book and gave up. None of the stories were particularly interesting.

In ogni caso, davvero consigliato.

DANDELION WINE is my all-time favorite of Bradbury's with ILLUSTRATED MAN a close second. In DW, I am most struck by the joyful and sad tale of the young man and the old woman who fall in love, but were born at the wrong time.

This book has a collection of tales that evidently hadn't made it into earlier books and, for the most part, I could see why. Some were confusing, some were not PC, some were predictable, but all in all, still entertaining.

There's nothing truly terrible in here, but nothing truly special, either. There are flashes of brilliance here, and some compelling ideas, but as a collection this is not Bradbury at the height of his powers.

Some sweet, non-sci-fi stories in here. Also some fun sci-fi! A couple at the end were more like well written journal entries based directly on Bradbury's experiences, no metaphor cloaking involved at all. Quite a mix, over all, and not a huge collection like some of his others.

Very little cats. Not nearly enough pyjamas.
Some of these short stories were kind of okay, but most were either aggressively boring or they were so disturbing it made me physically ill. Better luck next time, Ray ♥️

This is a unique collection for me. While I enjoyed it, I will say this is not one of his higher caliber of work, but more of a reflection of an aging artist.

I enjoyed it, but I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 in total. I still recommend it, but only to someone who wants to explore more Ray Bradbury.

An interesting collection of short stories. I enjoyed the title story the most and the rest to varying degrees.
