I am very fond of the Shopaholic series, but the first book was the best. I was unable to finish this book despite my ardent admiration for the series. I just didn't feel like I cared about the characters enough. I really liked that the author kept the series up and that she didn't immediately have Rebecca have a baby after marriage. But, instead, she had the Shopaholic suddenly find out she had an unknown sister. That was book #4 and was a slog. Out of loyalty, I tried to read this book, but the series felt tired. It lacked all the originality and fun of the earlier books and especially the first. I do respect the author though and met her when she spoke in Denver. She was a wonderful and lovely person. I'm a mean mommy now though, and I have to move on from this particular book.

I really liked this sequel.

Wild, funny, fun, and another amazing read from the Shopaholic series!

This was an amazing read. This is my eleventh Sophie Kinsella story, and fifth book of the Shopaholic series. I loved every minute of it. The humor in her stories makes the book more enjoyable. I loved Becky. She is a silly, yet lovable main female character. Luke is an amazing male character. He may be an entrepreneur, but I love how he is able to love Becky even though she has her flaws and quirks.

I really loved this book. We get to see more into the change of Becky's character. Like always, Becky is still the shopper that she is and does those crazy things. However, in this book, I saw Becky in a new light. She did not lie as much as she used to, and I think that made her character more relatable. Also, there was a more vulnerable side to her as she is pregnant. Hence, she is hormonal and more sensible. I really liked the ending and I love the way Luke defended Becky. It truly shows how much love and respect he has for her. Can't wait for Mini Shopaholic. Overall, a fantastic read.

Episode Shopaholic kali ini Becky sedang hamil tua. Betul juga kata pepatah, rasa penasaran akan membunuhmu dan itulah yg terjadi pd diri Becky. Becky yg penasaran akut utk ditangani dr Venetia Carter, malah jadi bumerang krn ternyata wanita ini adalah mantan Luke, suami Becky. Venetia ternyata jalang yg berniat utk merebut Luke dr sisi Becky. Well, dapatkah Becky mengatasi masalahnya pdhl sikap Luke juga mulai menunjukkan tanda-tanda affair?

Lagi2 seri Shopaholic ini membuat saya ketawa terus dari awal hingga akhir. Kita tetap disuguhkan hal-hal menarik yg dilakukan Becky utk setiap hal yg diinginkannya terutama keranjingannya dlm hal berbelanja, terpesona oleh kegigihannya yg pantang menyerah, takjub oleh ide kreativitasnya dlm mengarang cerita utk menutupi masalahnya hingga kita tertawa karena tingkah laku konyolnya, terharu oleh dukungan keluarga dan teman-temannya yg kompak dan loyal terhadap Becky.

Relationship Becky dan Luke mengajarkan kejujuran dan kepercayaan amatlah penting dlm rumah tangga agar tidak digerogoti oleh pihak luar. Bayangkan kalau mereka tetap saling memendam rahasia, bakal runyam hubungan mereka di akhir buku. Jadilah seperti Becky Brandon yg mementingkan penampilan tapi tidak pernah lupa dgn keluarga dan sahabat2 terdekatnya.

Becky Bloomwood Brandon is up to her old tricks again - only this time she's expecting. In some ways, I'm a little frustrated - shouldn't Becky have learned her lesson BY NOW? But it is fun to see how she gets out of the messes she gets into. Great escapist novel - not challenging but fun to read.

Love makes you want to do things that you would never have imagined, it makes you take leaps of faith and at times makes you follow your partner… just kidding.. Shopaholic and Baby is another addition to the Shopaholic collection. Carrying a baby can be tough and on top of that your pregnancy brain can make the line between reality and imagination a bit blurry. Becky Bloomwood, has always been known to be the most cheerful and energetic person in the room, would she be able to remain the same during her pregnancy journey?
The book keeps you engaged throughout and in a subtle way gives a very important message about the struggles of a woman during pregnancy. The writing style is as usual easy to understand and perfect and makes you want to read the book all in one go. It is filled with love, madness and humour as any other shopaholic book. Loved it.

Well Becky Brandon nee Bloomwood is just as annoying as ever with her materialism and celebrity fascination but she's also funny and a decent person despite it. I'm kind of over the whole chick lit thing, but Kinsella pulls me back with her humour. One of the funniest exchanges in the book is Becky discussing with her frosty MIL, matching tattoos and the new baby's possible names. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if some parents hadn't already used Becky's very tongue in cheek baby names. Also central to the plot is Becky's battle with Jolene, I mean Venetia, her obstetrician and her husband's ex-girlfriend.

Kirja jatkaa Kinsellan tuttua tyyliä joka on mukaansa tempaava ja jouheva. Päähenkilöt ovat miellyttäviä ja heidän elämästään haluaa tietää enemmän. Loppu on ennalta arvattava, muttei se haittaa. Olenkin lukenut tämänkin osan joskus aikaisemmin eli senkin tähden tiesin millainen loppu olisi. Ihanaa rentoa kesälukemista. Seuraavan osan kimppuun!
