The book is pretty decent, it's a good read but it felt like the story was very unplanned, but it's kind of a cozy book, the kind you'd read to you know, just sit and relax.

Interesting family!! Plenty of funny , serious, sad and enjoyable times.

An incredibly insightful story around bereavement, life and love. This book had me laughing out loud and it had me crying. Keyes you've done it again.

Loses one star because it maybe stretched the story a bit longer than necessary. But overall I still loved it.

Keyes is on top form in this novel and Anybody Out There? is up there with the best she’s ever written. Like her character, Anna Walsh, one has the sense that Marian Keyes also had to grow up eventually and deal with some hard truths.

This is literally the first book to ever make me cry. Another winner by Marian Keyes.

First time I read this book, I was too young, too dim witted and lack of spidey or spider senses. I caught the big revelation at the second half but I have to tell you: this quite emotional, ugly tear jerking, poignant story and my second favorite book of Walsh Sisters series (Angels is my least favorite one: even though it takes place in LA) I highly recommend it.

Me encanta cómo escribe esta autora, porque además de ser divertida, es muy profunda, y sus historias en general tienen giros inesperados a diferencia de casi todo el resto del género chick-lit (o semi chick-lit, en su caso), pero ésta me costó más. Encontré que el humor en muchas ocasiones era bullyinero y mala onda y que había envejecido mal. En especial la manera de tratar a los hombres, u objetivizándolos o riéndose de ellos no me gustó y dudo que hubiera tenido la misma recepción hoy que el año en que salió el mercado (2006), porque afortunadamente las cosas han ido cambiando para todos.

Pero lo más difícil para mí no fue eso, sino que mi mamá me hizo spoiler, jajaja, le comenté que estaba leyéndolo y me soltó así de la nada lo que era el mayor giro de la novela. Como tal giro está bastante avanzado en el libro y (spoiler) era bastante ridículo, luego llegar hasta ahí fue casi UN TRABAJO, así que solo retomé el libro entre otras lecturas o cuando me costaba dormir. Sin embargo, una vez aquello sucedido, me encantó. Volvió a tener la frescura típica de la autora y sus otras novelas, me hizo reír y me entretuvo mucho. Lo pasé la mar de bien, otra vez en especial con el elemento inesperado, que en verdad a veces no sé dónde va la cosa.

Recomendado, no especialmente. Es piola, sí, pero Marian Keyes tiene libros mucho mejores, como "Lucy Sullivan se casa" o "Rachel se va de viaje". Y además es laaargo. Todos los libros suyos son largos, al menos todos los que me he encontrado, pero acá realmente pude sentir todo el peso de su longitud, al menos en la primera parte.

Not sure why I’ve never really read Marion Keyes much or ever (can’t remember). Loved this and read it in one big gulp.

“Anybody Out There?” Life is perfect for Anna Walsh. She has the perfect job in the Big Apple along with a great apartment and the best friends. What could go wrong? Everything! She wakes up one morning in her parent’s house in Dublin, Ireland with stitches on her face, a broken arm and a dislocated knee, and no memory of what happened to her. A great mystery along with the best family relationships book and excellent writing.

Well this was unputdownable. It IS fluffy, it can become silly, (the clothes, the make-up, the shopping) but it is also engaging, hilarious and this writer is proving to be an absolutely consummate storyteller. She holds your interest throughout the 600 pages and the humour doesn't flag or get repetitive.

Lots of lovely humour amongst the very sad storyline. Marian Keyes balances the two so well!

Definitivamente, me encanta como escribe la autora, como consigue que te sumerjas en la historia desde la primera página, que te involucres sentimentalmente con los personajes, y que comprendas sus miserias y problemas, porque por desgracia puedes encontrarte en alguna situación parecida alguna vez.
Me ha gustado mucho como trata la historia de Anna, sus sentimientos, su sufrimiento, su manera de afrontar los problemas que la surgen, y la gran suerte que tiene al encontrarse tan arropada con sus amistades y su familia.
