There is no question- old hollywood photos have a quality and style that is sadly lacking today. This book goes into all the different things behind all those amazing photos. My favorite part is on the lighting. Do be warned, though, there are a few inappropriate photos and discretion is needed.

Un libro que desarrolla el objetivo del título, pero a pesar de que este libro esta exactamente dirigido a personas que quieren iniciar o ya fotógrafos asentados que quieran recrear escenas o el estilo del Hollywood clásico, con un detallado pero a la vez práctico proceder para lograrlo, creo no pecar en decir que al igual que tal vez muchos otros, compramos este libro para poder guardar en nuestras queridas librerías una pizca del antiguo Hollywood, un pequeño recuerdo de estas bellísimas estrellas de una época ya pasada, con unas hermosísimas fotografías a blanco y negro de estas celebridades desde 1920 hasta prácticamente 1950.
Pero creo que se escaparon de colocar a ciertos actores en mi opinión personal, tal como George Raft, Gregory Peck, Charles Boyer y Paul Newman... y qué hace allí Elvis Presley??
Por lo demás excelente selección tanto de fotografías como de estrellas.

i once bought a magazine article that was written by one of the old hollywood photographers in his old age

and there were diagrams of what lighting was used
it was neat to see how simple it was

usually with 2 to 5 lighting sources

Aparte de disfrutar con las fotografías que incluye el libro de alguna de las estrellas del Hollywood de los años 20 a 50, en el libro se incluye una pequeña biografía de cada actor/actriz y, lo más importante para los amantes de la fotografía, una explicación de cómo está realizada con un esquema de iluminación.

Me gustan mucho tanto los libros de cine clásico, especialmente los que incluyen fotografías, como los libros técnicos de fotografía, especialmente los que explican esquemas de iluminación; y en este libro lo tengo todo.
