I liked this book a lot.
I also liked Colby again in this book. She's even more a kickass chick with her fighting skills now and even though I didn't totally agreed with her behaviour very few times, I was so with her most times. And although I still like Thomas and he's so, very, very hot, I wanted to punch him most of the time in this book. Seriously, that's the way to hurt a girl's pride, man!
I also liked Carl a lot, more than in the first book, and I'm glad we got to know him a little better. I hope there will be more of him in the next book.
Piper succedes to get on my nerves some times, but she's okay.
I didn't like much Ileana. And I still have some doubts about Mr Holloway.
The spy/killer's identity was surprising, although I had some suspicions about her. It's often the most quiet person the most dangerous.
There were a couple of hot scenes, like the one about Colby and Thomas in that motel room or at the Mini Golg... but I wanted more!
All in all a good read and very enjoyable. Although not as funny as the first book, I liked it a lot.

Four months have passed since Colby was given permission to exist as a half-blood vampire. Not only does she have her license, but she has been given the added responsibility of Protector of all the half-bloods. Colby takes this title in stride and sets about making preparations.

The Vampire Tribunal, the governing board for the vampire community, makes it possible for Colby and the other half-bloods to blend in with society while still being together to train and learn about the vampire ways by securing land on the campus of a local university in order to create a sorority. Colby names it Psi Phi (Sci-Fi, get it?).

With the help of her boyfriend/Vampire Investigator Thomas, Colby expects no problems when it comes to dealing with the other half-bloods. In fact, she expects them to consider her a hero for "saving" them from execution. Instead, she gets a mixed group of girls from extremely different backgrounds who don't think much about her as a Protector.

When one of her charges is murdered right in the sorority house, Colby begins to doubt her ability, as well. With the help of familiar faces from the previous book, Carl and Piper, she begins to unravel the mystery and learns of a spy that is in their midst.

One area of irritation is Colby's attitude toward Thomas. While BRACED2BITE, the first book in this series, was appropriate for middle school and above, FANGS4FREAKS gets a little closer to the edge. The sexual situations are increased and cause arguments between Colby and Thomas. Colby's tendency to blow up in anger over his actions seem a little over the top and happen too often and take too long to resolve. These arguments usually stem from the fact that Colby is very frustrated that Thomas won't take their physical relationship past the make-out stage.

Overall, even though the resolution to the story was rushed at the end, the story leading up to the conclusion was enjoyable. While not as good as the first, FANGS4FREAKS is definitely worth the time to read.

I kinda of just found this book in my sister's things, and didn't realize that it was in a series. Thought it would be a fun quick read because it is vampires in a sorority. I was definitely confused at first because I was missing the whole first book, but I felt like the author gave a lot of backstory so it was pretty easy to catch on to what had happened.

This review is regarding the second book in the Half blood vampire sereies. Okay that was just AMAZING. I love how the author fit in a collage scene along with a sorority. I Loved the whole story, it has vamires, half blood vampiries, oh and did I mention you find out that demons exist in the book. There was mystery mixed with paranormal, and little bit of romance, so all in all the book was put together Really well. 5 stars to Serena Robar. Can't wait to start the next book. :) Also I am extremely greatful to have recieved a free copy of Fangs For Freaks ,in the giveaway I entered. Thanks so much! HUGS! and *Smiles*.

Some months ago I read the first book and it was good. Now I read the second book, and again it was good. I liked trying to figure out who  was targeting the half bloods and who killed one of the girls there . Also loved the relationship between Thomas and Colby, though I sometimes wish they would talk more instead of being angry at each other.

Sequel to Braced 2 Bite. Colby has now entered college and been put in charge of all the other female halfbloods. She is their protector and head of "Psi Phi House", the sorority she set up as cover for them.

Psi Phi is just like any sorority on campus-except for the part about them being half-blood vampires. Colby Blanchard emancipated her fellow halfbloods and laid the smackdown for some wayneeded new laws, but things still aren't good. The Vampire Tribunal is dumping the newest pledges on her lawn...bound and gagged. And Thomas, her hunky vampire investigator boyfriend, is being a little too much of a gentleman.

- A fun vampire story.

This was better than the first. Yet it still wasn't very exciting
