I'm so glad we got to see the people of Cirque Du Freak again, even if it's only for a moment. My boi Evra has grown.

Like most reviewers of this series complained: it is in fact hard to rate a book when it's not quite finished. As a reader, you're going to be picking up the next book just to see the progression of the plot move forward. For this to be a book in itself, it's hard to say that it's a good one. We start on a quest and ends what seems like only a quarter of that quest.

Previous books at least ends in a somewhat satisfied manner, there's always a grand story for each book. This one though, just seems like a prologue of that grand story. But like always, I found myself enjoying this despite that.

I certainly forgot about a lot of the characters that appear in this book. I find that reading this book series, as an adult now, the adult figures in this series aren't honestly the best. I don't know, maybe I'm being too critical? I thought them clever when I was younger, but now I am not so sure. Lady Evanna still was a great character to me.

I’ve been really into this series for three most part but this book kind of bored me the entire time until the end. The ending started to get interesting but not over the top interesting with the wild cliff hangers like in the past books. This one was just okay and I was super excited at first to read it especially because how the last book ended. This one was just okay.

Hunters of the Dusk
Author: Darren Shan

"Death is the worst this world can throw at you, Darren -- if you accept it, it has no power over you."

Darren Shan and his companions leave vampire mountain to begin their perilous mission.

The fate of the entire vampire clan lies in Darren's hands. To end the war, Darren must kill the Vampanese, but that is easier said than done.

His mission introduces him to the darkness, but he must keep his emotions in balance to avoid being dragged into the abyss himself....

In my opinion this book is a valuable addition to the Cirque du Freak series. There is so much going on. This part is not about the circus itself, but about the war between the vampires and Vampanese. Which creates a lot of tension in the storyline.

Trigger warnings:
Death, violence, murder, grief, blood

Me encontré difícil parar leyendo este entrada en la sería y me sentía como si fuera en el camino con todo el grupo. Me encanta la adición de Vancha y los acontecimientos y las consecuencias de la historia me llama mucho la atención.

Really loved this entry in the series, so much so I’m going to immediately start reading the next one. It’s like playing a really good rpg or something, you feel like you’re one of the gang out to stop the end of the world. Love these books as much as I did as a kid

And just like that the plot starts to thicken. I really liked how in this book we launch ourselves in what is the real plot, into the big adventure that it’s about to happen. I also really enjoyed the new characters that we got introduced to, since they expand the magic world of this series and because they are quite interesting themselves. This book has pushed me to elaborate my own theories for the first time in the serie and in all honesty I can’t wait to read the rest and check them out.

This was definitely another one of the filler books. Even though this was longer than the last two, not much happened. All they did was start their journey to find the vampanze lord  and missed him

It was nice to back at the Cirque Du Freak and see how they've changed. I really like how the author used Evra growing up to really show how much time has passed  He married with kids!!

The best part of this book was the introduction of Lady Evanna, another all powerful witch character. She was blunt and doesn't care what people think of her, she's awesome!!
I hope to see more of her in future book (this series is really lacking in female representation!!)
