Review for the entire saga. I finished my reread and it was even better than I remembered, they are made for younger audiences so some things could be better, but overall they are creepy and good.
Darren Shan (the author) created a world of its own populated by vampires and vampanezes and witches and agents of destiny and it fits pretty well with ours.
and best of all, whatever you think the ending will be, I don't think you'd be expecting it, so I think it's pretty good in that regard, usually, books for younger audiences tend to be much more simple and predictable.

I absolutely LOVED this book and I need to read the second book RIGHT NOW!

THINGS I LIKED:

The characters: Darren Shan is such a cool and likeable character. I love how he tells the story and he's just a very fond character. He's definitely a brave character and will do anything to keep his friends and family safe and that's what I loved about him.

Steve was also a very interesting character. I thought he was interesting because he was manipulating and there was something dark about him. I can't wait to see how his character develops during the next few books.

Mr Crepsley was really mysterious, but I also found his character to be very likeable and really funny. I also love how he treats Darren during this book.

The plot: The plot was amazing. There was no dull moments in this book and I just could not put this one down. Every chapter ended with a sort-off cliffhanger. The story was interesting and just really enjoyable.

The writing: The writing was really good. The book is written from Darren's POV and I liked that because then we got to know Darren's character much better. The book was really fast-paced and like I said earlier; never a dull moment in this book.

ABSOLUTELY recommend this book to people who like creepy stories with all kinds of supernatural elements. I can't wait to read the next one. This book was just ASDJFDGJDFDASJDASDFJDSAAD I love it.

I absolutely LOVED this book! The moment I started the first page, I couldn't stop reading.

The book is about two boys who go to a freakshow and then everything starts to go wrong.

The narration is in first person point of view(which I prefer over third person).
The book is short, but there are twelve books in the series.
The book is about vampires(but no it's not a vampire romance-which is a good thing).
The characters are very likable and you care for them.
The book is overall great. I assure you, it won't leave you until you finish reading it. Also, JK Rowling wrote a review about this book saying that readers will be hungry for more.

Definitely read this book, you won't regret it

PS: Expect a twist every time you read something by Darren Shan. NOTHING he writes is predictable :D

کتاب سیرک عجایب یک شروع فوق العاده است ! مثل همه شروع های فوق العاده دارن شان!کتابی بود که باعث شد الان من از طرفداران پر و پا قرص دارن شان بشم .

When the teacher first introduced the book to my class I honesty thought it was going to be like any other book a teacher makes us read. Turns out this book was really awesome! Darren is a boy and the main charater who just wants freedom, at least Darren has his best friend Steve by his side. Allen, another friend of Darren, got a flyer from his older brother about a freak show that he found.
“Cirque Du Freak,” And Allen introduced the flyer to the boys. Then the four of them had a big fight about the flyer because it would only be enough for two people to go, but there was four boys. Luckily Darren got the flyer out of his two friends going against him. So Steve and Darren got to go to the freak show together at dawn. Darren and Steve snuck out of Steve's moms house, since they both had a “sleepover” and went to the theater to watch Cirque Du Freak (the freak show). Mr. Crepsley the host had many freaks to preform on stage to the audience. One of
my favorite freaks was the wolf man. I found it cool when the wolf man jumped off the stage and bit one of the ladies in the audience. (Mr. Crepsley is a Vampire) And then when Mr. Crepsley had the blue hooded people stitch her hand back onto her arm. Darren was obsessing over Madam Octa, one of the spiders in the show and the only one. The most poisonous spider, (since somehow Darren loves spiders) Once the show was over everyone was heading out. Steve wanted to stay behind, so he told Darren to head back to his house. But Darren insisted. Darren found something odd about his best friend Steve so he stayed behind and watched his every step. Until Darren found a place to hide. What Darren saw and heard was the most shocking thing in his life. Steve found out that Mr. Crepsley was a vampire! But then Steve wanted to be one too. The only thing how Steve found out he was a vampire was because He and Darren read a comic book or something and Steve only remembered it. Darren got really scared so he stayed quiet on the balcony he was hiding on praying for life that Steve or Mr. Crepsley didn’t hear or seen him. Turns out that Mr. Crepsley couldn't turn Steve into one because apparently he had bad blood...So many spooky interesting things about Cirque Du Freak..

This Started out so well and the movie is wonderful. I enjoyed this book, but the rest of the series lets you down. Read the first one and then let it go!

A: Oh yeah, but I bought the boxset in one of my many nostalgia-charged pandemic online purchases, so we’re all set.

داستان این مجموعه از زبان پسریه به اسم دارن شان که همراه دوستانش یه پوستر از سیرک عجایب پیدا می‌کنن و دارن ناخواسته درگیر یک ماجراجویی هولناک می‌شه...
داستان کتاب سریع و دلچسبه. شخصیت‌ها کاملا قابل تجسمن و ما رو درگیر دنیای خودشون می‌کنن. در مجموع جلد اول شروع خوبی داشت و دوستش داشتم.
+ کاش ارشاد اینقدر گیرهای مسخره نمی‌داد. تعویض کلمه‌ی خون‌آشام با شبح؟! چی بگه آدم واقعا...
پس بدونین هر جا تو کتاب می‌گه شبح، منظورش خون‌آشامه.

Oh my effing gods. That streetcar just came, and smacked me upside the ignorant head. An instant favorite. Anyone who is suffering from intense boredom should be immediately cured after reading this.
The story centers around a teen named Darren, who has an obsession with spiders. He makes the mistake of stealing a vampire's prized performing Spider.
Absolutely fantastic book, and I highly recommend!

I remember watching this movie as a teenager. I don't think I liked it much. This book however though, I would have devoured it happily had I found it during my school days. Unfortunately timing is everything. I would have enjoyed it more and given it 4 stars if I had read it then.

It's a good book for school kids. My reading it as an adult just made it less entertaining. That's all. And if I come across the second part of this book, I will definitely read it.

راهنمایی بودم...مثل همیشه حوصله‌ نداشتم زنگای تفریح برم توو حیاط و مسخره‌بازی بقیه رو تماشا کنم... همیشه می‌رفتم توو کتابخونه و همینجوری می‌گشتم و می‌خوندم..
یه روز توی این گشتنا این کتاب رو دیدم و برش داشتم... یادمه همینجوری چندصفحه اولش رو خوندم و دیگه نمیدونم بقیه‌ش چی شد و کجا ادامه‌شو خوندم و چی شد که تموم شد...
فقط یادمه رفتم توو یه سیرکی که میگفتن سیرک عجایبه اسمش... دیگه نتونستم از دنیای کتاب بیام بیرون تا وقتیکه هر دوازده جلد کتاب رو تموم کردم...
و چقدر دلم می‌خواد دوباره برگردم عقب و دوباره برای اولین بار بشینم هر دوازده جلدش رو بخونم و توو دلم بگم: "یعنی میشه خون‌آشام شد؟" و شبا به شوق خون‌آشام شدن به خواب برم...
