These books just keeps surprising me. I just love Darren so much asdjgfjfsdjfj My inner fanboy is breaking out

Seriously though, this is the third book in the Saga Of Darren Shan and I absolutely LOVE these books. They are so fast-paced and so entertaining. I could not put this book down. Amazing plot, amazing characters (Mr Crepsley and Evra are so amazing just ahdshfsdghdsdasja) and amazingly written. Fans of the Percy Jackson series need to read these books NOW!

My friend recommended this series to me so I insist on reading it. Well, I have not actually read the two previous books. I tried to read the first one but couldn't because of the spiders. I'm too much afraid of spiders. This one, thank god, didn't have them. Anyway, I expected the story to be harder to follow because I didn't know what had happened in the previous books, but things were pretty well explained here. I didn't find the story hard to follow at all.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I like the idea of Cirque du freak and all it's weird members. I also like how vampires are a little less supernatural in this series than in most vampire series. They just seem to be stronger and faster than humans mostly. The story was ok for me, not the greatest but not boring either. I actually found the characters more interesting than the story itself. I liked seeing how Darren has come to terms with himself as a vampire. Of course, I don't know everything he's been through but I got the image he wasn't exactly thrilled to be a vampire at first. Now the vibe I get from him is a silent acceptance and steadiness.

I liked the friendship between Darren and Evra and also between Darren and Debbie. I wonder if Debbie will appear in some of the following books, too. I think this series has great potential and I hope to see still more character development in the future. I think I'll continue reading this series but will skip all the books with too many spider scenes :D

To me, this one wasn't quite as good as the first two. Darren, Mr. Crepsley, after a little convincing, Evra leave the Cirque Du Freak after a Vampire General (also Crepsley's dear old friend) arrives with some very dire news. They arrive in a quaint town and stay at a hotel. Mr. Crepsley goes out every night but tells no one what he's doing. Then six bodies drained of blood are found in a warehouse. Darren thinks Crepsley has went on a killing spree and needs to be stopped. They shadow the vampire and Evra gets caught by the true killer. Can Darren and Crepsley work together to save the snake boy?

This installment in the whole series is my last favorite, which is weird because it actually has a wee bit of romance (I'm a sucker for a sweet romance). The romance is overshadowed though and isn't a gripe if you hate romance. Overall, what I love most about these books, is the action never stops, the pacing is amazing and you can totally knock it out in one day.

Book Two of 2025: last book of the first trilogy. Reading this was like the vaguest sense of deja vu

Loved installment number 3 just as much as I enjoyed the first 2 in the series. The story packs a punch and is full of so much action. Reading this again after so many years I'm able to see it again through new eyes so to speak. I think the extremely quick and out of the blue shot at 'romance' was a bit random and somewhat unnecessary but due to the age range this is aimed at I can see why it was done. I'm looking forward to book 4.

Another great book by Darren Shan. Darren, Evra and Mr. Crepsley leave the Curque du Freak. They stay at a hotel in a small town. But something is mysterious about Mr. Crepsley. He's leaving every night, which is giving Darren a chance to see his girlfriend Debbie. Darren and Evra are mysterious about Mr. Crepsley until six dead bodies were found drained. Darren is sure that Mr. Crepsley drained them, who else would do it? But is Darren really sure. Darren follows Mr. Crepsley every night, and one night he saw Mr. Crepsley following a fat man. Is Mr. Crepsley following the man to to drain him like the others or is there someone else? Darren and Evra come out one night, Darren is seeking Mr. Crepsley to kill him for what he has or has not done. Darren finds Mr. Crepsley following the fat man into a building. Darren goes in telling Evra to stay behind, but Evra refuses. He finds Mr. Crepsley hiding behind a few boxes. He cannot see anyone at first but then he finds the fat man coming out a door. Mr. Crepsley comes closer to the man. The fat man leans over to get a carcass. Darren can see Mr. Crepsley leaning over the fat man. It was then Darren's chance. He charged at Mr. Crepsley panicking and aiming for his neck with his knife. He panics and cut right into the flesh of Mr. Crepsley's left arm. Giving the killer Murlough a chance to escape. This is an amazing book. I would definitely recommend it to horror lovers.

The scene of him setting up the decorations on the Christmas tree will stick with me, but otherwise this book is a lot of sowing seeds for the explosion of Vampire lore we’re about to get.

Have you read Daren Shan series before? I'm reading the third book in English to improve my reading skills, and I'm involved in it! This book series is the best that I've read before, and I sometimes forget that I'm reading in English.

It's hard for me to find certain books in English that I can enjoy with my current skills because my reading skills are not the same as my reading abilities in Japanese. So, when I found the book series, I was very happy. The books are written for children, but you never get bored and tired to read because the stores are so interesting.

I think reading abilities relate to writing skills. When we improve our reading skills, we can write better. So, I highly recommend to you reading books in the language that you are learning. I heard that the daren Sharn series has a manga series too in Japanese. If you are interested in the book series, try to read them!
