10-23 (Two in one because the other one would be really short)
So Mr.Tall notes he calls him by his real name like Kurda did. he tells the boys that he has been wait for them in that same spot for a very long time if i can remember right its been like a month. when they get there its like 3-4 in the morning and they asked if they could wake people up like evra(Darrens old friend.) Mr.Tall say they will just wait untill the morning to wake everyone up. and they ask how much time has passed since they been gone. And Mr.Tall says its been they same amount of time for them both on both worlds. so its been Fairly 4 months for them both. so They go somewhere(i think) and KUrda/Harkat noted something that he thinks that he went into the future . and when Darren really thinks about it he says hes right. a future of bombed earth and evil dragons.
I finally finished this book it took long enough. but this book is not as good as the other ones in my opinion. he could have done a little better but what can you really do with a story of someone finding out who they are. so i think he did pretty good. but when you think about it it does make sense that they went to the fututre because all of the things in the Mountain were devolved things in the new world.( if that made since).
10-22 After Kurda says he will be the one to go down and die like he should . Darren asked a lot of question and Mr.tiny like always says that he wont answer them now but he will answer them in due time.so there is a door that they went through to get to the world they are on and he tells them to go through and they do and they find Mr.Tall standing there waiting on them and Harkat calls him buy his real name and Mr.tall knows he knows the truth.
I really hate when Mr,tiny says that crap it makes me wanna slap him in the face with a 2x4 because even though he does answer its just like why not just say it now. just to note that door has been there the whole time while they were talking i think and its red. but Mr.tiny is so ugh. i donr know what to say about him i wish he would answer the question. and i for got to mention that Evanna is his daughter. and the fact that Mr.tall was waiting on them means he knew they were coming even though they cam at night he was still waiting by a fire like the one in the other world.
10-21 Knowing that they are both in the same spot Mr.Tiny finally answers the question of what happens to them. he says that since kurda is back they have to choices kurda dies again or harkat does but they can not both be alive. even though it happened before that is because Harket went back in time now that its the present one leaves. so the get into a very small argument and Kurda asked Darren what he thinks should happen. but before he could get a breathe out Harkat says from my memory you always made decision on his own with no ones help. and he was right so kurda decied to die
i knew this would happen but i didnt know that he wwould do the right thing. even though it makes since because he already did something wrong so why do another wrong thing just because. he honorable took his death and i like that. and i dont know what to think of Mr.Tiny at this point he is just a ify touchy subject/person to have an opinion on. but i want to know how he can predict the future if he says there are so many different outcomes hoe can he know which one they will choose. he is just a complex person to start off with
10-21 so he calles them over but Darren is hesitant and Mr.tiny says he cant hold the dragons that long and Darren moves. they get to this clear area in the woods and there is a fire set.Harkat is eyeing Kurda while he is rapped up into a blanket/towel. Harkat is starting to remember more and more about his former life as kurda and Darren starts to ask questions. like how they were both alive back at the Vampire Mountain. and What is going to happen to them now. Mr.tiny says he cant tell him everything but he will explain in good time.
i think this somewhat makes since that he would be Kurda. because he is trying to prove his self after all the bad things that he did. and how he was so close to the vampires i knew he was one. i just didnt think it would be that one only because they kinda hated each other after that little insident. like i said before i dont think he likes his self but he accepts it. i also said that Spits wouldn't like it but he doesnt even know because he is dead.
10-16 ( i am putting the last two in one big one just so its less to do)
the male dragon does to hunt and they go in for the lake. spits in the middle and the other two on the side throwing globes. making there way through the village a little kid dragon spots them and the fighting starts. make there way past the dragons to the lake they stop. Spits tells them that they can't come close to the lake unless some one falls in or jumps in the lake. they finally find out why Spits was so ants and not telling the whole truth. he is a cannibal or used to be before he came to that world. so they get into an argument because he wants to eat all of the souls but Darren and Harkat say no not even when they leave. so he gets mad and starts to attack them. Darren crushes his forearm and he still wants to fight and eat them. he backs up to much and he is not close enough to the lake for the spell to work so then he gets burned by the male dragon that came back some time ago just waiting. after that he jumps into the lake of souls. at that point the dragons come full on and Darren fights them of and Harkat find out that he is Kurda Smahlt an old vampire that went bad but thought he was doing good. then Mr.Tiny shows up and and stops the dragon mid fire breathe and tells the three of them to come with him.
Yay i know who he is know . but i don't know how i feel about this information. i knew that Harkat was a vampire or at least i had a feeling. the way he helped them was a sign. i don't know if the writer set his heart on this but if he didn't he did a really good job on his transitions. now they know who he is, and if that was me i wouldn't really be that happy. the end result is that Kurda betrayed them no matter what happened. he should be public enemy #1 in my book. but i feel they will make it work. only because they have two more books left and they kinda have to. unless he went crazy on the last two which i can't wait to finish. i will read all of his books no matter if im old and am still reading them. the way he tells things puts the perfect image in your head and you feel like your there even though im not. he is very descriptive to. but in my next summary i will be done with this book.
10-15 Now they have been watching the dragons. they almost have there schedule done pack and they know who leaves. but the problem is they don't know how to get past them. so then they realize the bomb thing in the tower. then they say they would but don't have enough poison. Darren has an idea he can put the poison in the globes and make more bombs. so they go to the woods and they start to make the bombs. when they made one Darren goes and he threw it at a tree and it works perfectly. now they are waiting on the Dragon to leave and go hunting.
that is a smart idea i wish that they would have thought of that earlier. i still think they should have done this earlier. in my opinion they aren't the smartest people in the story but hey they are doing what they can to get but. these parts of his books get a little slow on the action part. but on the movement its self it goes pretty fast. so those to kinda average each other out. but when you read slow it doesn't do a lot
10-14 Before they left they looked over a few things. 1 the Kulaskas looked like the Guardians of Blood in the Vampire Mountain. 2 The Spiders are the same spiders that Madam Octa made . and 3 the kitchen was a modern kitchen so they thing that he did this. they think that Mr.Tiny put all of these things in this world. or took some out of that world and put them on the other. on there way to the lake they see dragons laying around the lake. know they have to find a way through or around them. now they have to wait and watch them.
Well then i really didn't expect them to have dragons. i knew there were going to be more but not now. i thought they were going to dive in the water and have to fight a dragon over the memory. but no they had to be there and make it hard for them to get in the lake. this is why i dont like Mr.tiny he is always putting obstacles in the way so they can never do what they have to do. i just hope they get there stuff together(even though i know they will.)
10-14 They are in the tunnel and Darren is trying to talk to the spiders. the spiders are not responding to Darren and they are not moving. Darren keeps trying to talk to them and still nothing. final before he was about to stop they slowly started to move away. waiting they stand perfectly still. after that they walk slowly until they get to a door. Mr.tiny knew that they were coming and left a note for them to read. it let them know where to go next. The Lake Of Souls
Yay the lake .i just want to get done with this book over with. i really think that the ending is going to be big only because they always are. i can only think that when he finds out he is going to be so sad. i feel like he is going to hate his self i dont know why i feel this way. but i really do , i think they he will reject himself. and Spits will think he is even more evil than he already does.10-9 ( sorry for skipping ahead this the one after the big long one and i went far in that so sorry) after falling into the hole Darren Spits and Harkat cant see anything. not even in front of there own faces. so they have to walk in the dark not knowing where they are. they only know that the can only go straight in one direction. walking along Harkat and Spits get into a heated argument about how he (Spits) is so stupid that he killed all those people. and Spits say it doesn't matter because they were not humnan. then they hear a noise like someone is following them .
if it was me i wouldn't have even went in there i would have just had to be crushed by the tower. hopefully it would have been instant. but they can't see nothing and now they hear noises. i am so paranoid with stuff like that i would have went insane. the is no way that i could have fallen into the hole or been sitting there in the dark with noises around me. i would have ran and been dead either way it goes. i also understand that there was one entrance/exit but still i would have tried to flit since he is a half vampire even though they can't i would have ran my fastest
10-8 the people of this world are called Kulashkas. the people are doing a ritual but they are all naked. there are three old bony naked women painting a symbol on the other Kulashkas's chest. after they get the lamb's blood painted on them they get dressed with a rob that shows of there chest (which is were the symbol is). they go to the top of this temple with this nasty Grotesque. which is the name of the monster. there is one little boy that is still naked and he stands in-front of the grotesque. keep in mind that this monster is human-snake-beast thing. so the Grotesque gets in this position like a snake and wraps its self around the boy like a cobra. then he swallowed the boy whole with no chewing or nothing. then the left chanting like they have been the whole time.
I love this so much. he got eaten which is nasty. but anyway the way that they explain the Grotesque is so vivid. i couldn't even do as good of a job if i used the same words as them. this thing is so nasty it has fingers all over its long snake like body. and now that i think about it how could they just give up a child. why not one of the older people who have already done things with there lives. if they have life to begin with. and why do this crazy ritual? where is the childs parents?
10-7 The stranger is spits and he is a pirate. they get to know him and the decide to travel to this tower. they only move at night though so the dragon doesn't get them. they go through mountains very steep hills. after all of that they get to a desert where they see a jungle . the walk in to the jungle and they see a big tall white building. Darren and Harkat figure that it has to be the Tower of Grotesque. the wonder if there are people here so they go and look. they hear faint chanting and follow it. there are people and the look strange.
Nothing is really happening i'm bored. i wish something would happen in the story. even though they look really weird they have pink hair. i don't know how they could or anything but still. they have white eyes (which i would love) and they have brown skin. to me that's a very weird combo. but now they have to find the holy liquid. what ever that is where every that is.
10-2 Darren and Harkat are sailing in The lake. there was a big loud clapping sound out of no where. after the water calms down and the raft stops rocking they notice something. there was a long beast hovering over the land that they were going to. they get closer and see that its a dragon. they ask each other if they think the dragon noticed them. It did and it made the loud clapping noise again. after that the dragon swan dived for them and connected with Darren's shoulder . flinging Darren onto Harkat , harkat grabbed an oar and jabbed at the dragon on its second dive. Harkat told Darren to take over the oar while he tried to make it to the island. the dragon came a third time and wrecked the raft sending Darren and Harkat flying into the cold lake. the dragon attempted to burn them with its fire breath. they noticed before it was to late and dived into the water hoping it would stop the dragon dived into the water after them. in the dragons claws Harkat gets loose and Darren is in tight. He yells at the dragon and Darren falls to the ground. he wakes up in a hammock with a stranger.
I have been waiting on this for ever it finally got interesting. I had a feeling that it was a dragon just because there is a dragon on the cover of the book. I thought that the dragon left after the fire but nope. Evanna said that there were other humans in the world but I didn't expect them to come this fast. only because she just said it. I was surprised that the dragon listen to Darren. I think that he can control if he actually got close enough but I don't know if he can. only if the dragon wasn't flying. and now that I actually think about it where was the dragon taking them? maybe the lake of souls? or maybe the stranger can take them. or do they have to find it on? Destiny should have given them more rules. or Evanna should have told them something. i know she isn't and wasn't suppose to but it would have been nice if she did. now they are with this dude and i don't if he is good or not. i hope he is and that he lets Darren drink some blood. he needs it
10-2 Evanna is now leaving because she only took the to the lake. But Darren has an issue , he hasn't been drinking human blood. he asked to drink her blood but she says that she isn't human. Darren and Harkat have to make a raft. they ask Evanna how they were going to bind the raft together and she gave them a rope from her robe (at least i think it's a robe). they sail out into the unknown lake and Harkat finds a tooth that looks like had been eaten on the inside. while trying to find out why the one tooth is like that they freak out. they think a parasite that eats peoples teeth out did it. Harkat and Darren probe there teeth with there tongue. luckily their teeth are fine and they go about there lives.
In my opinion there isn't a lot to say. nothing really happened in this section. i thought it was funny how they probed there teeth. the raft was a good idea. i just want to know how Evanna knew that there was a wrecked boat. how if she has never been there before did she know. she also knew that there were humans.i just know something is going to go wrong because everything is to calm for Darren Shan. I know the way he Writes (kinda) and it's to calm.
10-2 Darren gets caught by the toad and hes in trouble. Luckily Evanna the witch can to his help and pulled him away. they didn't know how Evanna got there but they were just thankful she came in time. while they are thanking her she tells them that she tells them that she is there guided for the next journey upon the vast world . she wont tell them what world they are in or where they are going. Darren wants to talk to the dead Mr.Crepsley (spelled the right way this time) but she tells him that it wont happen and he has moved on. they get to a lake and Harkat and Darren wish it was the lake of souls but it sadly isn't. the lake has no names
In my opinion i didn't expect Evanna to show up i thought the same thing that Darren did , that she couldn't help them. she explained that she couldn't help with the War of Scars . since that wasn't the case she intervened. i think that the toad wasn't really as much as a part of it as it should have been. all the toad did was cause Evanna to show and i think that's all Darren Shan wanted to do. Just make a reason for Evanna to show up.
9-30 it's been three weeks and Harkats face/scars look bad. looked like he was attacked by a vampaneze. they are in a swamp with large snakes alligators and 4 eyed rats. they try to find a path to the small island just beyond the swampy water. they thought there was no piranhas and made it across , then went to sleep. when they woke up the went to look for the toad. when the fond the world's largest toad it look like it was being guarded by swamp animals. the caught rats and Harkat handled the animals while Darren went to get the "gelatinous globes".
In my opinion either i read extra slow or there wasn't enough action for me. most of the time something bad would go round. but nothing went wrong it was kinda chill. that's okay with me but at the same time they are in a different world. they should have encountered something they never seen before. that would have made there journey to the swamp even more better. and have like a gate keeper to the swamp, or even just had large piranhas, it could have been the opposite really small piranhas that you can barely see but no nun of that it was only them going and almost getting the globes i need to read this book faster because Darren Shan ( the book author) does sometimes gets grey areas in his books.
9-30 Darren gets attack by the panther and almost gets killed. Harkat throws a cactus at it and it attacks him (Harkat). He hits it with a club but doesn't affect it much, then he stabbed it with the broken club. After that they both (the panther & and Harkat) fall into the spike pit and harkat is hurt.He has nasty marks on his face but doesn't want them stitched. they examine the panther and find a map on its belly and teeth with letters on them 2 A's D,H,K,L,M,R,S,T,U. thats all he has on is past for right now. and those letters spell out harkat mulds his name. and then they followed the map to the toad.
In my opinion thinks could have been a lot worse. darren could have died and that would have been the worse book ever. Harkat could have died liked Mr.Crepsely (don't know if i spelled it right) and that would have scarred for life. they should have had more scenery details because the didn't explain the way they fell or the screaming. but other than that it was good and i liked this section. and i cant wait to finish the search for Harkat's past life.

It did and it made the loud clapping noise again. after that the dragon swan dived for them and connected with Darren's shoulder . flinging Darren onto Harkat , harkat grabbed an oar and jabbed at the dragon on its second dive. Harkat told Darren to take over the oar while he tried to make it to the island. the dragon came a third time and wrecked the raft sending Darren and Harkat flying into the cold lake. the dragon attempted to burn them with its fire breath. they noticed before it was to late and dived into the water hoping it would stop the dragon dived into the water after them. in the dragons claws Harkat gets loose and Darren is in tight. He yells at the dragon and Darren falls to the ground. he wakes up in a hammock with a stranger.
I have been waiting on this for ever it finally got interesting. I had a feeling that it was a dragon just because there is a dragon on the cover of the book. I thought that the dragon left after the fire but nope. Evanna said that there were other humans in the world but I didn't expect them to come this fast. only because she just said it. I was surprised that the dragon listen to Darren. I think that he can control if he actually got close enough but I don't know if he can. only if the dragon wasn't flying. and now that I actually think about it where was the dragon taking them? maybe the lake of souls? or maybe the stranger can take them. or do they have to find it on? Destiny should have given them more rules. or Evanna should have told them something. i know she isn't and wasn't suppose to but it would have been nice if she did. now they are with this dude and i don't if he is good or not. i hope he is and that he lets Darren drink some blood. he needs it
10-2 Evanna is now leaving because she only took the to the lake. But Darren has an issue , he hasn't been drinking human blood. he asked to drink her blood but she says that she isn't human. Darren and Harkat have to make a raft. they ask Evanna how they were going to bind the raft together and she gave them a rope from her robe (at least i think it's a robe). they sail out into the unknown lake and Harkat finds a tooth that looks like had been eaten on the inside. while trying to find out why the one tooth is like that they freak out. they think a parasite that eats peoples teeth out did it. Harkat and Darren probe there teeth with there tongue. luckily their teeth are fine and they go about there lives.
In my opinion there isn't a lot to say. nothing really happened in this section. i thought it was funny how they probed there teeth. the raft was a good idea. i just want to know how Evanna knew that there was a wrecked boat. how if she has never been there before did she know. she also knew that there were humans.i just know something is going to go wrong because everything is to calm for Darren Shan. I know the way he Writes (kinda) and it's to calm.
10-2 Darren gets caught by the toad and hes in trouble. Luckily Evanna the witch can to his help and pulled him away. they didn't know how Evanna got there but they were just thankful she came in time. while they are thanking her she tells them that she tells them that she is there guided for the next journey upon the vast world . she wont tell them what world they are in or where they are going. Darren wants to talk to the dead Mr.Crepsley (spelled the right way this time) but she tells him that it wont happen and he has moved on. they get to a lake and Harkat and Darren wish it was the lake of souls but it sadly isn't. the lake has no names
In my opinion i didn't expect Evanna to show up i thought the same thing that Darren did , that she couldn't help them. she explained that she couldn't help with the War of Scars . since that wasn't the case she intervened. i think that the toad wasn't really as much as a part of it as it should have been. all the toad did was cause Evanna to show and i think that's all Darren Shan wanted to do. Just make a reason for Evanna to show up.
9-30 it's been three weeks and Harkats face/scars look bad. looked like he was attacked by a vampaneze. they are in a swamp with large snakes alligators and 4 eyed rats. they try to find a path to the small island just beyond the swampy water. they thought there was no piranhas and made it across , then went to sleep. when they woke up the went to look for the toad. when the fond the world's largest toad it look like it was being guarded by swamp animals. the caught rats and Harkat handled the animals while Darren went to get the "gelatinous globes".
In my opinion either i read extra slow or there wasn't enough action for me. most of the time something bad would go round. but nothing went wrong it was kinda chill. that's okay with me but at the same time they are in a different world. they should have encountered something they never seen before. that would have made there journey to the swamp even more better. and have like a gate keeper to the swamp, or even just had large piranhas, it could have been the opposite really small piranhas that you can barely see but no nun of that it was only them going and almost getting the globes i need to read this book faster because Darren Shan ( the book author) does sometimes gets grey areas in his books.
9-30 Darren gets attack by the panther and almost gets killed. Harkat throws a cactus at it and it attacks him (Harkat). He hits it with a club but doesn't affect it much, then he stabbed it with the broken club. After that they both (the panther & and Harkat) fall into the spike pit and harkat is hurt.He has nasty marks on his face but doesn't want them stitched. they examine the panther and find a map on its belly and teeth with letters on them 2 A's D,H,K,L,M,R,S,T,U. thats all he has on is past for right now. and those letters spell out harkat mulds his name. and then they followed the map to the toad.
In my opinion thinks could have been a lot worse. darren could have died and that would have been the worse book ever. Harkat could have died liked Mr.Crepsely (don't know if i spelled it right) and that would have scarred for life. they should have had more scenery details because the didn't explain the way they fell or the screaming. but other than that it was good and i liked this section. and i cant wait to finish the search for Harkat's past life.
