Absolute Garbage - a waste of a tree to make the book. Dude is a dud. Total scam. listed a whole bunch of obvious things like breathe fresh air and eat natural foods as the things to do and then went on rants against big business, big agriculture, big pharmacuticals.

I personally am NOT pro any of these but i can state concrete reasons for my beliefs, he just rants.. (& by the way he IS a convicted felon, has had MANY suits brought against him for fraud & lost them) yet he maintains HE is persecuted for his "knowlege" hah! the only thing he seems to KNOW is how to scam (& he does it well) I am profoundly glad i only paid 2bucks for the book and even then i feel ripped off.

Oh, and by the way, he is also pushing things like Scientology. i do NOT appreciate that. if i wanted info on that subject i would read something that honestly said they pushed it.

all in all its an AWEFUL book. pure garbage. best way to use it is as mulch for your garden if you arent worried it will pollute it!@

If you want to read an in-depth review of this book, check out my blog. I say A WHOLE lot more on why this book is horrible. Here is a link to the blog post: https://datum248084203.wordpress.com/...

Anyway, here is a short review. This book is awful. Kevin doesn't give you cures though he promises to give you them. Rather, he wants you to go on his website and pay for information that can be found elsewhere for free. He is also a convicted fraud and has been arrested multiple times. The writing of this book isn't good either. To me, it was really grating to the point it got on my nerves.

He also has tons of misinformation in his book like how mangosteen, noni, and wolfberry cure diseases with no cure or offensive things like how AIDS isn't real. This book was just pure propaganda.

So far the worst self-help book I ever read and one of the worst books in the #mothernaturewantshertreesback blog posts.

I hope every single person suffering from a sickness or illness or caring for a loved one or the one who does not want to fall sick, ill takes the time to read this book. What a great find in the back of a used book store!

Some of the things in here are hard to believe. Milk & chlorinated water causing your arteries to scar? Hmmm... Very angry & obsessive write, like he's trying to brainwash you. 4-5 books he recommends I have read! Your Body's Many Cries for Water & The Food Revolution, & Healing books, etc. make me pay attention. I am probably going to read more of his books, just to see what he says & invest in a mini trampoline! :)

I learned a lot of great information in this book about natural cures as well as about government and corporate secrecy. However, the author is often redundant; the book could have been much shorter and more readable if he had just stated his points once.

Getting the FDA to approve a natural substance for uses in human medicine is difficult if not impossible, as long as the current corporate power structure maintains control of the government. Someone has to pay for expensive testing, and without a way to recoup their investment–like they might have if they could hold a patent on the substance–no one is likely to fund $800+ million of testing to “prove” safety and effectiveness. This is the reason for the bias in medicine toward patent medications and away from unpatentable natural substances, or even from drugs for which the patent privileges have expired. Natural substances such as vitamins, minerals, herbs and phytochemicals are not necessarily dangerous and useless, it is just that safety and effectiveness have not been “proven.” Of course those who benefit from the sale of patented medications want to eliminate competition for their overpriced products, and are bound to leverage their considerable fortunes to discredit anything natural, as discussed in, Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About, by Kevin Trudeau, and many other books. The pharmaceutical giants even go to great lengths to discredit their own drugs after the patents have expired.

With the current stranglehold the pharmaceutical industry has on doctor education and continuing doctor education, doctors are not likely to prescribe a substance that is not tested and approved for the use prescribed, unless the doctor has done his or her own independent research. There is, moreover, a fine line a doctor must follow in order to keep his or her medical license intact. The AMA won’t allow a doctor to digress far from FDA approved patent medications.

There weren't a lot of specific cures in the book (that I didn't already know about), it was mostly about the system that prevents natural cures from being used.

A couple of positives about the book...it talks about the intrusion of drug companies on our health and offers some pretty basic/common sense ideas to improve one's health. The negatives - first the book is extremely repetitive. It could have been eloquently summed up in a five page essay. Secondly, although it promises to reveal the natural cures, one quickly finds out that they need to go to his website and pay for this information. I suggest everyone does what I did, borrow this book from the library then research more books on natural healing to find the cures for free.
