Read for history of magic O.W.L.

I'm always in 2 minds whether I prefer the full novels or short stories, but the hound of the Baskerville's is definitely one of my favourites.

Valley of Fear - I really enjoyed this one so much, I knew nothing of the story so it was so unexpected. Loved it 5/5

The Hound of the Baskervilles is an eerie classic with a great setting in the countryside and unexpected twists. As always, the writing style is engaging, thrilling, and a kind of English I love reading. The Valley of Fear is again one of those stories that end with a long background story that is narrated by the victim. Once again, the setting is in the US, which is a nice change of scenery. Additionally, it nicely introduces Prof. Moriarty as a mysterious but influential figure in the shadow.
Not as exciting as previous short stories but still encourages me to continue with the saga.
