I don't think this is quite as good as The White Masai; maybe because it doesn't take place in Africa - and I'm so fascinated by other cultures so that captures my interest on a deeper level, than this description of European life (which I already live). But this is still a very good book, and don't get me wrong - it's very interesting, when you've read the first one, to see how things turned out for Corinne and her daughter Napirai. It's a "have to read", if you read The White Masai :) Corinne Hoffmann's story is fascinating!

I just had to find out what happened to Corinne after her "adventure" in Kenya. Thankfully she kept her head on straight and set about making a success of her life with her daughter. She certainly finds ways to take care of herself. I liked the accounts of her jobs and the self-suffiency she shows.

This woman never ceases to amaze me. She is a very strong person, but I do wonder about some of her decisions! The non-fiction book is entertaining nonetheless, and I would like to hear more about her life.
