Mammals
By David Burnie
Grade Levels: App. 2-5
DRA/Lexile Measure/GLE: n/a
Reviewed By Aaron Carter

Mammals, as its name suggests, focuses on the numerous species contained under that heading. The richly illustrated book provides a broad overview of mammals, which ranges from defining what is a mammal to playing and the mammals found in certain areas, such as the desert and mountains and in freshwater. The book contains an tremendous amount of information on domestic mammals and wildlife given its small size; however, some words, such as "marsupials," might prove difficult for younger readers. There are even simple experiments shown throughout the book.
