This biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder covers the life events by Carol Greene. This would be a great book for students to read after reading the Little House books. It contains a simple language and pictures that would interest the students while keeping them engaged in the information.

I am a huge fan of Laura Ingalls Wilder and anything to do with her. I have now read several biographies about her, and this one is not anything special. I did not learn anything new. I would recommend reading the DK Biography about Laura or William Anderson's biography on her. However, this is geared towards very young kids as a picture book, so this could be read aloud to kids first as a way to introduce Laura. Overall, there are just too many items missing from Laura's life that the author did not include, and I think it would have been better to have one illustrator rather than several different ones with the different artwork. I think it's better to make it cohesive with one illustrator for young children.

This biography would be very appropriate for an elementary student because of its simple language. It summarizes Laura's life by providing brief highlights and many pictures. There are also maps of where the Ingalls family traveled during Laura's childhood.

-Found this book while looking for historical fictions, this is more of a biography as well.
-Captures the series into a easier version for younger children.
-Includes interesting pictures.
-Would be a good way to introduce history and similar stories.
-Don't know how interested children would be in this book specifically because it seems outdated.
