Niente di trascendentale, non raggiunge nemmeno la sufficienza. Inutile.

The basic story was interesting, and I wanted to finish the book to find out how things turned out; but the characters, the dialogue, the plot all seemed forced.

A tad too cheesy with a bit of a twist that was expected but the delivery was unexpected.

I had to pick a book by an author with my initials. I'm not sure I've ever read one by Barbara Taylor Bradford before. It was a quick, easy little read and maybe a bit simplistic, but it was sweet. I thought it took a pretty odd little twist near the end. I'm thinking BTB must have been reading up on NDEs and wanted to promote the idea.

My all time favorite book by Barbara. It's sweet, endearing and emotional.

This one is still sitting in my top 20 book collection. I got the hardcover a number of years ago. Absolutely love the story of scorned Maggie who was left by her husband to pursue a younger woman. At 43, Maggie hires handyman Jake to do renovations. He's about ten years younger and sexy as hell. These two create beautiful music together. The rest is history.

No negative comments here. Just pure love. Thanks Barbara for a smooth read and lovely story. I'm a big fan! xo

It’s a book filled with love - sometimes heartwreching, but satisfying. Lots of life lessons to be learned and they are presented beautifully.

This begins as a typical love story as Jake Cantrell is disappointed by the failure of his marriage to Amy, his childhood sweetheart. He moves to another town to concentrate on his new business. Jake becomes involved with an amateur theatrical group in his spare time. At the first meeting Jake meets Maggie Sorrell, an attractive, charming woman, who soon will be forty-four years old. Maggie has recently moved from Chicago after her lawyer husband left her for a younger woman. In the process of renovating an old farmhouse for a client, Maggie hires Jake to be the electrical contractor. Working together on a daily basis, they fall in love. There are many obstacles in their lives. There is a fifteen year difference in their ages and Jake's divorce is not final. But all of obstacles are overcome in the end.
