Another fun adventure watching the family grow and change. A peek into the past that had me sighing for "the good old days" (but glad for the progress we've made too!). My six year old enjoyed listing to some parts with me in the car so I think I will read the series with her at home too.

I reread this book I remember enjoying as a child. It's a sweet, funny, educational book about a Jewish family in New York. It was really interesting and great to learn more about the Jewish religion and culture through this book. I also loved the progression of the family's friendship with their friend Lena and how they supported her after illness caused her to become paralyzed.

I liked the first book in this series better than this follow-up, but it was still filled with charm and positive storytelling. I loved hearing the Jewish festivals being celebrated by a close Jewish family.

These books are always so sweet and comforting and give a nice peek into Jewish life in the 1930s, or somewhere around there. Some things don’t age well but for the most part they are cute stories about a loving Jewish family.

I know I've read this before but couldn't begin to tell you which year. This one was very good...the epidemic and illness resonated in 2020. There's so much talent in making this a kids' story and focusing on the kids and their issues without shying away from the larger things going on in life.

2022 bk 325. the saga of our family continues with Mother's brother meeting the love of his life, a polio scare sending the family to the seashore, a little brother who finds life too exciting sometimes, and a wedding. An enjoyable, restful read!

This whole series is absolutely charming. we can't get enough! short and sweet. the reader does fantastic accents! the girls personalities are so real and relatable, the dynamics of a big family so consistent and we all crack up at all of the sisters doting on baby Charlie.

I loved the book almost as much as the first. I liked a lot of the stories until the end. It really surprised me and left me at a cliffhanger! :-0 I'm excited to see what is in the next "All of a Kind Family" series! :- )

Very cute and sweet stories. It is so interesting to read for the first time as an adult. I find that I'm reading this as a look into children and family's lives a hundred years ago in NYC. The history is fascinating.

We really enjoyed listening to more stories of this family.

(Thankfully this audiobook got rid of the cheesy music at the beginning of each chapter, so it was much more pleasant to listen to. The narrator was the same and she was perfect.)
