I have always loved this book and the sentiments it carries. The story is a steady build of near-brilliant emotion, as well as being highly memorable. It is among the best picture books I have read.

I designed a rhtyhm lesson for this book and we used it to teach the children at the boys and girls club when I went to IU. This book is very long, so I only use part of the book. The children made shakers and then shook them to the rhythm of the names every time that I read them.

Dr. Seuss teaches so many lessons in this book. It is ok to be a nonconformist. It is brave to stand by your position in the face of opposition, especially when you are in the right. It is just to defend those facing persuction. It is noble to help those who are weaker and smaller. Everyone is entitled to basic rights. Eveyone deserves respect and dignity. Those of the smallest stature can change the outcome of a world.

Dr. Seuss must be included among the greatest authors in American history as his works have created a love of books and reading for generations of children.

While a handful of his cartoons and vernacular may seem cringeworthy under modern standards, the importance of his body of work as a whole remains largely unparalleled.

The true master of children's literature

Dr Seuss knack of telling a fun important tale in a creative rhyming way just has to be applauded.

Horton the Elephant is able to hear the small people that inhabit a small speck of dust.
Unfortunately it's only him that can hear the Who's of Whoville and is increasingly frustrated that the other animals in the jungle dont believe him.

One of the best parts of this adventure is how small the text is as the residents of Whoville as they communicate to the elephant.

Hortons courage to protect them alongside the famous quote of "A person's a person, no matter how small" makes it a timeless classic.

This story labours less on “a person’s a person no matter how small” than I remember and the kangaroo is a real pest. Classic Seuss stuff with a bit more focus on narrative than rhyme than some of his other stories.

A small thing can make a big difference.Wow what a wonderful story it is, I just love it and I really like the line from the book which is a person is a person no matter how small. The story also depicts that we should be sensitive to everyone and look after eachother.

Can you imagine living with Dr. Suess? Did he talk like this? Did his kids grown up to be retards incapable of communicating normally? It boggles the mind.

Horton the elephant tries to help the little Who creatures and their town, Who-ville, that it is located on a speck of dust. He is the only one who can hear them scream for help.

n  I’ll just have to save him. Because, after all,
A person’s a person, no matter how small

I hadn't realise that the Who creatures are that small...
My daughter thought that the Grinch should also have appeared in the story!

Чудесна!

Don't give up! I believe in you all!
A person's a person, no matter how small!
And you very small persons will not have to die
If you make yourselves heard!
