The Cat in the Hat has a little Cat in a little Hat, just like that! And the good doctor Theodore Seuss Geisel has let another Cat in the Hat book out of the bag, this time as another piece of encouragement to read, and keep reading. Little Cat reads with eyes shut, to impress Pop Cat, the one in the Hat. Dad Cat gently remonstrated his junior kitten that reading is done with eyes wide open, and the world outside should be seen and embraced the exact same way. Closing your eyes to the printed page Rob's you of the joy...but then a lot of people are blind in both eyes, and some of them still enjoy life, even if reading books means doing it by Braille dots or listening to a book on tape. The point is, be brave, open up. We all have a limited time on this Earth. Doesn't mean though you should rush and read every book ever written. Sadly none of us can, and I highly doubt I myself will ever finish everything I've always wanted to read. So my message is: read what you can. Savor what you can. Even if you read only one book in your life, that should be enough. What do you think? Four stars The Cat still GOT THAT!
