I feel like I've gotten to know Ted Geisel after reading this compilation of his stories, sketches, biography, and many tributes. My son has been reading the 13 stories out loud which I've enjoyed immensely (there's nothing like hearing a child read Dr. Seuss!!!). Other than the enormous size and weight, this is a book to treasure.

What can I say? You can never go wrong with Seuss. I bought this many years ago to read to my kids and have kept it to read to any future grandchildren. I love Seuss just as much as my kids!

Read after seeing Eliza in Seussical.

This was a nice ensemble of Dr Seuss stories with little anecdotes at the end of each story sharing some of the background for its origination to include landmarks and quotes.

Not only do you get the Seuss stories, but in between are one page facts about Dr. Seuss and his life, art, and writing. There are also letters from famous authors and why they enjoy the story you are about to read. These little anecdotes are worth buying the book alone, plus you get all the Seuss stories.

Great place to get all your favorite seuss books in one place. My brother gave me this as a birthday gift, and its great for perusing when you're sick or feeling blah!

I wonder if more people would care about the environment if they had read, or had read to them when they were young, 'The Lorax'; its probably one of the best pro-environment stories ever written and without being preachy it paints a grim picture of what could happen in our future. Take time out of your day to hug a tree, they do a lot more for us than we give them credit for.
