I finished this over a month ago but from what I remember the stories were entertaining but seemed to end abruptly. I read it just after I had a baby, so I needed short, brainless and light, and this fit the bill. The most memorable story was about a house contractor that took up residence in their house, unbeknownst to Laurie and her hubby. I still chuckle thinking about it!

This book was hilarious! Laurie Notaro is a columnist in Arizona & her books are really taken from her columns.

From her mother addicted to QVC to her grandmother who loves Frank Sinatra, she has a pretty crazy family. This book of course, as the title might imply, deals with her recent marriage.

First book of her's and I laughed alot. She has a great way with words and is completely honest and self-deprecating. We're the same person really except I don't have a writing career. Yet.

Like her other books, I love Notaro's snarky, self-depreciating viewpoint on life in general. The losers she manages to date before finding the guy with "sensitive eyes" who lives with his parents and whose mom calls her "Gloria."
It was a fun, laugh out loud read.
