Funny, funny, funny book. I can't decide which essay is my favorite....the one about health insurance and her self-diagnosis of "Cancer of the Lower Asshole", her family's bad name suggestions for her nephew, playing SIMS....maybe the title essay, where she tries to be nice to everyone on a trip to Costco.

The final essay, where she talks about bad editors and selling her first book is the perfect ending

In general, I love Laurie Notaro's books, her "memoirs" in particular. She is the funniest writer I've encountered and no other author can consistently make me laugh so hard that my husband comes upstairs to check on me to make sure I'm okay. This book delivered multiple stories that made me set down the book while I giggled and giggled, unable to stop laughing, especially the stories of the "nose zeppelin" and the "combustible corduroys." When I need a break from the reality of life and need to read something light and funny, Notaro's books always deliver exactly what I need. I Love Everybody is no exception to the rule. Very funny stuff.

I think I have found my long lost twin. I can't count the number of times in the book where I read lines that have actually come out of my mouth. The best being about Disneyland. I told my husband to look around when we last visited and told him that I thought he got a pretty good deal, comparably. Then the Costco trip! Where do I even begin, let me say I do not Love Everybody! If there is food anywhere near me, it will end up on some part of my body, my mouth being the least likely of all. The brown corduroy pants... been there, done that (maybe more than once!) Of course I was laughing all the way through it, how could I not. It was like laughing at my own stupid behavior!

I have liked the later books by Laurie Notaro better than the Idiot Girls.
Which doesn't mean too much, cause I loved that book a lot. It's what made me want to read the rest of her books anyway.
I guess the subject matter is a little different in I Love Everybody and We Thought You Would Be Prettier.
It seems more mature, or just less about binge drinking.
Don't get me wrong, there is Nothing wrong with those binge drinking, wake up in the morning going Oh-My-God stories.
They're hilarious, and for me, very relatable.
But, I'm just saying that I liked the other ones even more that Idiot Girls.
Because really, she is still an idiot girl, and thats why I love her so much.
