Who is murdering the beach girls in the dead of the night, and why? This is the task of beach patrolman Scott Davison, who believes it is gaudy and foolish to have to patrol the beach on a horse at night—until the murders of the beach girls. Scott was supposed to catch “sex maniacs,” so described by the police chief, who hired him because he owned a horse. However, nobody takes the beach girl murders too seriously, until the daughter of an Alabama judge is one of the victims.
