I've been a James Patterson fan for years, but was pleasantly surprised when I began reading this book. This is not his usual work, though he did an amazing job. I could not put this book down. I was lead to believe one thing and shocked to find out in the end, that I was wrong. Just one of the reasons why this book is so good. Don't miss out. It's one that will stick with you forever.

"Neizmerno sam voleo Suzan. Nema tih reči kojima bih ti preneo šta znači kad te zadesi sreća da nađeš ženu koju možeš toliko da voliš, a koja ti, što je čudo nad čudima, uzvraća ljubav istom merom."

I was given this book to read in my "12 books from 12 friends" challenge. I most likely would of never picked it up on my own and then I would of missed out on a beautiful story. That is the point of the challenge though. I read this book in just a few hours and I suggest if you read it to have tissues.

This story follows Katie, who has fallen in love with her boyfriend, and they have the most beautiful relationship. They understand each other on a level Katie has never felt, until one day he takes off, leaving Katie confused and lost! Shortly after he leaves, Katie receives a book in the mail titled, "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas", with a note in her boyfriends writing. Katie is shocked but decides to read the diary learning about Suzanne and her child Nicholas. The diary includes Suzanne's life before her son, working her way through relationships, through her wedding and pregnancy, and even after she gives birth. Katie can't help but like Suzanne and feel connected to her in more ways than one!

Some reviews talk about the writing and how poorly it was written but I listened to the audio which gave me a different perspective. I found myself angry at moments and tearing up the next. This is truly a beautiful story of heartbreak and hope!

I really wish Patterson would write more books like this one. It was so touching and emotional and left me wanting more. I think I may have gone through a whole box of tissues reading this one.

I’ve read this book so many times over the last several years and I’ve loved it every time. I’m sure I’ll read it several more times over the years to come.

A very emotional story of love not your typical James Patterson, but I truly enjoyed the book :)

A love story about Matt and Suzanne who had a child Nicholas. Both Nicolas and Suzanne were killed in a car accident. Years later, Matt is in a love relationship with Kate but he leaves her because he cannot deal with the anxiety and pain of potentially losing her. Matt leaves Kate the diary Suzanne wrote for Nicolas as he was growing up, as a way to explain his fears.
I wondered at this story. But apparently the emotional underpinnings are based on the author’s own life and the relationship he had with a girl who died from a brain tumour.
At the time he wrote the story, he had also recently become a father for the first time.
I found it a quick sappy read.

I thought this was a beautiful love story to a child. Yes, there's more to it than that, but Suzanne is Nicholas's mother and she begins writing him a diary while he is in utero. She plans to write to him as he grows so he knows her thoughts and love for him and more.

Katie is in a loving, happy relationship with Matt who suddenly leaves her without explanation. Then one day she gets a package delivered on her porch and it's this diary along with a note from Matt saying it's about himself, his wife, and his son. Not the note Katie wanted to read, but she begins reading the diary and makes many discoveries along the way.

I love it and I understand not everyone will, but I read some pretty rude reviews which I don't think should be done ever. I don't think anyone should ever say an author shouldn't write a specific genre or even not at all! Wow! If someone were as successful as he is as an author, maybe...MAYBE, then they could spout off that type of opinion. I for one LOVED it and am NOT a stupid person (unbelievable) for loving it. I can't believe anyone would say such a thing!
