An exquisite meta-collection covering 1965-1996. There are a few items missing (e.g. early fanzine issues) but if this is the kind of book that sounds remotely appealing to you, it's worth tracking down. Given that I'm the first person to review this, I imagine that's a pretty limited audience. That and it's high-priced volume intended for libraries. My only real complaint is the lack of author credit for many of the entries in the Record Reviews section, especially since so many of the author credits that *do* get credited are so tantalizing (R. Meltzer, L. Kaye). But, hell, I'd read a second volume of updates.
