Read the whole thing in one (long) sitting

How I Came To Read This Book: I bought it for Gill as a Christmas gift awhile back and 'borrowed' it while she was living abroad tra la la.

The Plot: This isn't a plot book, it's a reference book for fans of the very popular show, Sex & The City. Essentially on the surface it's an episode guide, packed with fun facts and synopses. Secondly it gives you a chance to learn more about the actors behind the roles - with interviews and profiles. Thirdly, it profiles the key elements that really made (make!) the show what it is - fashion features, location scouting, guest stars, and of course, sex.

The Good & The Bad: For the most part this was a well done book and a great companion to the show for long-time fans. It's full of photos that capture key moments and the behind-the-scenes info was well worth the price - for example, did you know that it was literally down to the very very very last second to have Samantha played by Kim Cattrell? Read on how this travesty almost happened and what turned it around. My primo complaint of the book though, is that it was re-released after the final two-part season was over Season 6, with the promise that it had been updated to include all things S6! A lot of BS is what that is, as the entire season is recapped in a two-page spread with NO updated photos throughout the book, missing out on a lot of key fashion & plot moments including Carrie's gorgeous clothes in the Parisian finale! I was really looking forward to finding more tidbits and information on the final episodes, but it just wasn't there. A sham and a shame for being so, but the book is more or less worth it otherwise.

The Bottom Line: A must have for diehard SATC fans, but be prepared to be disappointed by the lack of S6 information.

Anything Memorable?: Nope, although I will say if you're one of the legions of women out there rewatching the series, I'd advise reading the eppy guides after each episode to learn more about what happened behind the scenes.

The best collectors book of all 6 seasons :)

I thought this was a very interesting look into the TV show. It was neat to see a different side of the show and how it was made and how each episode came together.

It tells you alot, that you might have thought or said, and been wrong.

Love this one. Really fun to read if you’ve watched the series.

A really interesting and fun read for Sex and the City fans. Love all the interviews from the cast and crew and the cool lil’ behind the scenes and tid-bits throughout the book.

The TV Show was better.

My love to Sex and the City started with the TV series, but only couple of weeks ago i realized that there is actually a book that i can read.
same as the movie, the book was amazing. Carrie and the girls are new yorkers in 100%. what is funny that my mom says that I am becoming one of the.
the only thing i didn't really like about the book is that the narration is a little bit different. as everybody knows Carrie is a narrator of the TV series, while in the book she is just a friend of the narrator, and she is not even the journalist. but on the other hand some of the characters, and even lines are exactly like in the movie. it's just so good to be able to one again emerge in the life of the new yorkers who's lifes seem to be so similar to mine even though they are fictional and much older than i am.

This is fun. If you want a quick read, pick this one up. It’s entertaining and good for reminissing.

This is a great book for fans, with lots of juicy behind-the-scenes tidbits. The pictures are great. The stories about the clothes are fantastic. This is good for bathtub reading.
