Gotta read the others to get this one. I miss Soren.

Again (and again) a very solid book that I loved!

This was better than #9, but I'm still anxious to get back to Soren and crew. Also, the series is starting to get a little repetitive.

This time the story is on young hoole.

I'm not a massive fan of the side stories, I think they're an excuse to set up for Lasky's Wolves Beyond series. I just want to get back to Soren and the gang. It was cool to find out how the tree became Ga'Hoole though.

Once again, another wonderful book in the Ga'Hoole series.
Siv and Svenka have become wonderful friends. When Siv leaves to find Hoole disguised as a gadfeather, she makes another friend, the Snow Rose, who doesn't know her real identity until later. When MacHeath leaves the Beyond, his former mate, Hordweard follows him and Fengo suspects the worst. MacHeath reaches the frozen country only to be first greeted by Siv who thinks he's up to no good. Svenka spies on him and Siv races to raise an army to save Hoole from the Hagsfiends.

I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm going to miss Siv and the rest of the wonderful characters when we finally get back to the Band as the main characters.

Hoole is very 'dignified' in this one.

I read this series as a young teen with my Mom. I remember loving the story, the information about the owls, the conflict between good and evil, the adventure! They were great books to read as a family.

I definitely loved this one! Touching, and full of adventure!

My rating: 4.5 stars.

There’s a spelling mistake on page 53. Instead of ‘be’ it is written ‘de.’
On page 151 there is also a missing full stop at the end of a sentence.

Majority of the books in this series have at least one spelling or grammar mistake. Some even have contradictions and facts that are untrue. I know that this is a fantasy series, so everything doesn’t have to be factual. But if you are stating facts about things that are actually real, you should, as an author, really do your research.

This book is one that I've gladly re-read several times. It wasn't the best one in the arc but it's still really good, and it was better than quite a few in this series. The plot was well paced and the characters were believable, especially Theo, when he is forced to fight against his will. I love Theo for some reason...
Namara's quest for self-sufficiency and freedom is captivating to me; it's a side conflict that the story couldn't get by without. I would have liked this book a lot less if it was all about Hoole; he's a good character, but not entirely interesting in the way that Namara or Siv or Theo are. I guess it's just because we see less of them. Anyway, if you're hesitant to read this is quite a good book, and I strongly suggest you read it. Whatever happens, because you may not share my opinions, you won't regret it, at the very least.
