Super quick read and some awesome nuggets of truth tucked into it's few pages...but overall was kind of boring (for lack of a nicer word that means the same thing) and didn't revolutionize the way I view prayer or anything like that :)

A simple book, yet powerful in content. Fr Nouwen brings images of prayer and the spiritual life alive with clarity and insight. He and his class/students
were unique - and the book documents this.

"In the end, a life of prayer is a life with open hands--a life where we are not ashamed of our weaknesses but realize that it is more perfect for us to be led by the Other than to try to hold everything in our hands."

Perhaps one of the best books on prayer that I have ever read.
