These romances by Janet Evanovich are pretty light. The banter to quick and the characters fun. Lizabeth needs a job and Matt needs a carpenter. Lizabeth does not fit the bill, but Matt can't resist hiring the pretty single Mom. The story is cute. There is a little of kissing and off camera action. I enjoyed the writing style and it made for a fun escape.

The Fairy and the Carpenter

Lizzie always wanted to be a fairy, even when she became a mother to two boys. But after her divorce she had to earn a living, and her quirky personality got her a job as a laborer in Matt's construction company. Matt was intrigued by this petite woman who wanted to do a carpenter's work but had no real skills. He fell in love with her enthusiasm, her two little boys, her eccentric aunt and her mischievous dog, but he had to win her over since she had experienced a bad marriage. This novel has a lot of humor and sweet episodes of romance.

Hot Mess

The house is falling apart, but the home is coming together nicely when Matt falls for his beautiful new employee.
