Grrrrrr!!!!I hate nonfiction! Occasionally, I force myself to endure nonfiction in an effort to improve my health. During these tortuous times, I try to read books that are recommended by others and when possible, as brief and concise as possible. Both were true in regards to FOOD COMBINING yet it was still difficult for me to get through this 63 page book. I honestly can't understand how anyone could actually enjoy a sentence such as one like this (which I copied from chapter 1): "Amylase, the starch-splitting enzyme of the pancreatic secretion, is said to act upon starch much as does ptyalin, so that starch that escapes digestion in the mouth and stomach may be split into maltose and achrodextrin, providing, of course, that it has not undergone fermentation before it reaches the intestine."

Although I badly needed and wanted to gain insight from this book, I could not bear to finish this book. I attempted to read the first edition but it literally put me to sleep. Because I did not read it in its entirety,a star rating was not posted.

Vocabulary is very intricate but it has helped me how to better prepare my meals. It should be read by everyone, being patient with its high register. A better edition would be if it can be read in a way anyone may easily understand. It should be translated in all languages.
