Back when I could quote some paragraphs out of it by heart, like some sort of bible. For me it is still one of the more important books on healthy eating (even though I don't follow it often enough).

Herbert M. Shelton's *Food Combination Made Easy* is a solid resource that provides valuable insights into the principles of food combinations. However, despite its useful content, the price point is a significant drawback. For the cost, readers might expect more extensive information or a more comprehensive exploration of the topic.
While the book offers practical advice, it doesn’t contain enough depth to justify its high price. For the same amount of money, you can find other books that deliver far more valuable insights on nutrition. If Shelton's book were priced around $5 to $8, my evaluation would likely be much more favorable. Unfortunately, at its current price, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it, unless you're deeply invested in the subject of nutrition and looking for a quick reference.
I'm 62 years of age and a Natural Hygienist since 1975 and I follow Dr Herbert Shelton's food combining scheme. Unfortunatley, most of those who call themselves natural hygiesnists do not follow these principles. They just mix everything. They do not believe in fermentation. In 1982 I graduated as a sanitary doctor from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and in 1983 as Nutritional Doctor from the London University. And then, I became a Professional Natural Hygienist . I have searched for knowledge with those I believe to be the best in the health field. So I've met Dr Shelton in late 70's at his Health School in San Atonio, TX. and Dr Bernard Jensen in the 80's at his Health Ranch in Escondido Cal. . I also knew George Maning from Ojai, Pat Connoly from the Price Pottenger Nutrition Foudation in La Joia and Dr Hulda Clark. You can not base your health plan only on food combining. Diet must be also alkaline . You have to take proper care of the bowels, the mouth, have an excellent quality sleep; take good care of your mental health, your feelings; stay away of solvents, get rid of heavy metals and hundreds of other toxins . In 1979 , I cut breakfast and started drinking only water until noon and having two meals a day and in 1983 I started to have only one meal a day and by that, fasting 23 hours from one meal to the next one. I want to enphasize the importance of exercise and physical activity in my life that is very intense since I was 6 years of age(1965). In the 90'' I got back to LA and got specialized in Toxicology and Phisiology from the UCLA. Each subject lasted four years. I own a vast colection of Natural Hygiene Books since its beginning in 1822 ( Sylvester Graham, Dr Thacker Trall , Dr Isaac jennings) trhoughout the twenieth and twenty one century. And of course I also own all Dr Jensen's books, Hulda Clark's; Wholistic dentistry , Colon health books, Pavlov books ( the great russian phisiologyst); and Naturorapths as Henry Lindlahr (1862-1924). Manoel Lazaeta Acharan from Chile, Nu Capo from Spain, Mário Sanchez from Brazil, Patrick Holford from England, Albert Mosseri-Natural Hygienist, from Egypt who later lived in France; Dr Norman Walker and Dr Harvey Kellog; The great Marc Ams - Natural Hygienist from Argentina who lives in Spain and Keki Sidwa from England. I could not fail to quote the works of Carl Pfeiffer dealing with mental health, brain chemistry, heavy metal chelation and Henry Schroeder, pioneer in environmental toxicology. I also own two facebook book albums. The first presents results of my work with patients over the years , showing before and after photos , having oriented and implemented integrated health awareness methods that include food selection (what you choose, consume and how you spend your money on everything). what comes into your organism); your digestion (Shelton); its absorption (Jensen); its process of disposal and elimination (Jensen). Patients also took care of their oral health following the principles of Holistic Dentistry; they follow the alkaline diet and even eliminated hundreds of toxic products from their lives, laden with solvents and heavy metals.

A Book on dietetrics. It tells us about the constituents of food as proteins, starch, vitamins and fats. Food must be eaten in certain combinations to have a good digestion. The author says that a big salad should be a part of a meal. Fruits are the best foods that one should eat. The author has researched sixty years into the subject of nutrition.
This is the craziest bunch of malarkey I ever heard of. And if this is food combining made easy, I'd hate to see what it would look like if he wrote a book called "Food Combining Made Difficult."

fantastic book which gives the principles of eating foods in a good combinations which is best suitable for your digestive system. but I think Avicenna was the leader and the founder of this principles.
